That French commercial is kinda fun cause the narrator is all arrogant, too, like that android is too weaksauce to play Terminator. Sega's slogan in France was "Sega, c'est plus fort que toi" - literally "Sega, it's stronger than you", the implication being that you can't resist it. I've been on French emulation sites and that slogan comes up all the time. Definitely made a strong impression on French gamers.

That first one... oof. Some of those were awful. Interestingly, I'd only seen maybe 20% of those, and almost none of them I saw back in the day.

Gotta love how in the Lynx commercial, it's supposed to be shown off in a "portable" fashion, and yet the A/C adapter is plugged in. They couldn't get the thing to last long enough on batteries to finish the commercial.

You know, despite not having many games I care about (at all!), I still would like a Lynx.

Jesus Christ, that Atari Lynx commercial. The damn thing was almost as big as the kid himself. I don't know about video gaming, but if you're in a pinch you could use it as dumbbell, I guess.
German commercial for the NES.
And it comes with... not 1, not 2, buuuut 3 amazing games: Tetris *gulp*, Super Mario Bros. and Nintendo World Cup.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter commercial.
Probably too cool for this game.

I love how commercials from back then would show completely ludicrous things happening, like Game Genie filling your Nintendo with so much power that the TV explodes. Similar to this one Atari ad I saw where these late teen/early twenty somethings are playing then their TV starts floating, or a basketball game for NES where an NBA player appears in the bedroom of the boys playing the game. Do ads still have that kind of hyperbole anymore?
