I know, right? I'm glad I played DKC3 just for that.

Here's one I expect Sarge might like, Hissatsu on the Saturn. It's based on a long-running live action show about assassins in feudal Japan that has a spaghetti western thing going on with its soundtracks. It's not *quite* up to the standards of the Wild ARMs series (what is?), but it is nice.

Nice, indeed! Between this and your feedback on the game itself, I think I may need to give it a go. I assume it doesn't really require much Japanese knowledge?

The first track in Hissatsu reminds me of the Gerudo theme from Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Man, I remember Syd Mead's Terraforming from way back when I bought a random Turbo Duo lot that included it. The presentation in that game is insane, both in its OST and visually. Some really beautiful stuff. Its a shame the game is mediocre.

Syd Mead's Terraforming / The presentation in that game is insane, both in its OST and visually. Some really beautiful stuff. The only parts Syd Mead was involved in were designing the backgrounds and spacecraft, I think that explains the aesthetics. When that game came out, as a kid I confused Syd Mead with Sid Meier. I was confused as to why a guy who develops complex strategy games would want to be involved in a sci-fi shmup.

I know I won't shut up about it, but the PCE Xak I & II soundtrack is one of the best things ever. It rivals that of Ys Book I & II even. Stunning. I listen to it like once a week at least. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJMeNWHBj4U
