I still need to play the first game; I'm tempted to roll with the remastered version if I can score it cheap. I cannot recommend the original Valkyria Chronicles strongly enough. It's a truly excellent SRPG. And it won't take a huge portion of your life away to beat it either. I did all the campaign missions, plus all the bonus missions, and my clear time was 31 hours. That was on normal difficulty without using a strategy guide. Top tier gaming!

That's not too shabby, actually.

I finished the Honest Hearts DLC tonight. Taking another break now from New Vegas for a bit. I've got the English translated ISO of Valkyria Chronicles III loaded on the ol' PSP. I plan to give it a go tomorrow evening.

Well I didn't play any video games at all over the weekend, but tonight I am definitely going to start up VC3. I'll report later this evening if it lives up to its series namesake.

Hey, that makes two of us! I tried to play some RE4, and kept dying in the village. I know I got past that part before, so... I dunno. I was feeling a bit crummy, so I ended up watching a lot of YouTube and Star Trek: TNG. (Still the best Star Trek, in my opinion.)

I can never decide if I like the ST or ST:TNG the best. Both series are stellar. I ended up playing a bunch of board games over the weekend with my wife, niece, and nephew. (One of the games was exceptional.) But I'm feeling the pixel itch now!

Oh, yeah, the original Star Trek is my second-favorite. I remember back when I was out of school and still looking for a job, and I watched a bunch of the original series on TV. I was quite impressed at how good the writing was for a lot of those episodes. I even dig William Shatner's overacting; I think it works in context pretty well. I'd say most of that cast are all-timers, but especially Leonard Nimoy.

Now I know why it was a slow weekend here... well, I'll let you guys slide this time. TNG is a masterpiece. Seasons 3-4 were probably my favorites back to back episode wise, but 5-7 maybe had the best episodes in between some of the bad here and there.

The trifecta of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy is really hard to beat. TNG is good stuff too though, no doubt.

So I finally booted up Darksiders III, and it's definitely a throwback game. Feels like a PS2/PS3 game, and I mean that as a compliment. It's not the same old open-world stuff that's become so prevalent, it's more the gated action game like God of War or Zelda or Ninja Gaiden. I'm cool with that, and I might actually stick with it.
As always, heretical stuff abounds here, but it's so over the top and comic book-y (I mean, Joe Madureira, y'all) that it doesn't bother me.
Also, seriously, I downloaded about 50 GB worth of patches today. I have to drag my PS4 to work to do that stuff. Sometimes, the new generation is just painful.
