Have you looked into Touhou Luna Nights? Seems to have a lot of praise on Steam. I might buy that or Iconoclasts or Celeste. But visually, Iconoclasts takes the cake for me.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking of snagging that while it's on sale right now. I've heard it's very, very good.

I bought this today off eBay for $21.98 including shipping. Brand new and sealed. Like the DS Mario Party, this particular entry is geared towards single player. That's why I wanted it. I get in the mood for this series once in a while. And Star Rush was the final 3DS game on my 3DS want list. I'm officially done collecting for 3DS now. A bittersweet feeling after having collected over 100 physical games for the platform in the past six years. (I've got about ~40 digital ones on it.)

You've done a better job keeping up than I have. I've got a bunch, but I'm not over 100, at any rate.
Of course, I've got newer systems sucking up my dollars, too, which doesn't help matters.
EDIT: Picked up a couple of modern games at GameStop for $19.99 a piece: Darksiders III and Divinity: Original Sin 2 Enhanced Edition. Been waiting for them to hit that magical price point. Still probably won't get to them for a while, though.

Probably my last purchase on the Steam summer sale, Cold Steel for $23.99. Heard some more great things about this series on a podcast again this week and apparently the music is standard Y's/Falcom awesomeness. I keep seeing people compare this series to Suikoden with its elaborate world building supposedly. The school setting certainly looks like a red flag... but maybe I'll be proven wrong. I own Trails in the Sky and will check that out first but if it doesn't jive with me I'll give Cold Steel a shot, since they're pretty different aesthetically.

I've got ToCS 1/2, and I think the third is supposed to be out this year. No word on the fourth game, but I sure hope it makes it over. I think it's supposed to wrap it all up.

Of course, I've got newer systems sucking up my dollars, too, which doesn't help matters. In the past years I've been buying for a lot more systems than 3DS though. I've collected hundreds of games across Vita, 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, Android, and PC. I think you're just more frugal than I am, combined with being interested in less genres. Not a bad pickup. I've got ToCS and ToCS2 on Vita personally. ToCS3 is coming to PS4 sooner or later.

That may be true. I'm all about cheaping out when I can.

I didn't really think OwlBoy lived up to the hype either. It's not a bad game by any means but people kept acting like it was the second coming and it's not.
