Bought this sim racer off eBay for $23.19 including shipping. Brand new and sealed. If you don't know anything about this game: Grid Autosport along with SEGA Rally Revo absolutely completes 100% my 360 "want" list. I am totally finished collecting games for this platform now. The only other platforms left on my want list are Wii U and Vita. There's two games I still want for Wii U, and four games I still want for Vita. Once I have all those, I'll move on to collecting for PS4 next year.

Somebody put this keyboard, mouse, power supply, case, and motherboard in the dumpster. There was no RAM or hard drive. There was also evidence that the CPU had been removed. The case appears to be this. The motherboard appears to be this. I do not have time to test whether it works tonight. But even if the electronics are fried, the case should be fine.

This week my main gaming expenditure was not a new video game, but rather a new video gaming device: It's Beboncool's new Mobile Controller. It basically gives your smartphone a form factor like the Switch. Has been getting really good reviews, though it's a little pricey at $39.88: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PQTKLRN/ I bought it for the ergonomics it provides, as well as that modern d-pad style. It's got 12 buttons total to map including shoulder buttons. And it's supposed take only 1.5 hours to fully charge, yet has a 12 hour lasting battery. Considering my smartphone has become my primary retro gaming emulation device, a better controller seemed a solid investment.

That sure seems better overall than the way those MOGA controllers clip on your phone. Let me know how it works out, 'cause it might be worth me investing in one.

Yeah I have one of the nicer moga controllers but I rarely use it. It's a good device but the experience of clipping my phone to a controller feels clunky.

It's a good device but the experience of clipping my phone to a controller feels clunky. Yeah, my other two phone controllers are like that. They clip to the phone, holding the phone above the controller itself in a way that feels off-center (from a weight perspective) and unnatural. I mean they work fine functionally, but it never "feels" quite right. So that's another reason why I'm interested in this new controller. It slides open, you put your phone in, and it slides closed holding the phone on both sides firmly. Reviews say it functionally feels like playing a Switch.

Yeah I have one of the nicer moga controllers but I rarely use it. It's a good device but the experience of clipping my phone to a controller feels clunky. Okay, my Beboncool Saitake came in today. This thing took me a while to figure out. Pros and cons: +Very comfortable to hold and use. +All buttons, dpad, and analog sticks feel great. +Holds my big ass phone nice 'n snug. +Very good looking aesthetically. +Versatile control software (app) for controller input setup. -Requires proprietary app to use. -Have to setup the app individually per game. -App has to be running while using the controller. Overall I'm happy with this controller, but I don't like having to use the app to use the controller. To use this thing with emulators, you'll have to customize your mapped buttons over the emulator virtual buttons, and apply it like that. A little tedious, but after it's done you can hide the emulator's virtual buttons. This is explained better in this video: Overall I'm happy enough with this Saitake controller. It really does make your phone feel like playing a Switch. I just wish direct Bluetooth control was implemented, instead of needing middleware. But using the middleware's macro functionality, you could use this controller with any mobile game really.

I'm surprised it doesn't have a mode like the MOGA controllers that let you just use it in direct Bluetooth mode.

I'm surprised it doesn't have a mode like the MOGA controllers that let you just use it in direct Bluetooth mode. Well it looks like I might have spoken too soon. This evening I turned on the controller, loaded Snes9x EX+, and my controller settings were still active. That was without running the controller's middleware app in the background. So it was working via direct Bluetooth. I'm thinking now the app itself is just for configuring the controller per app, but isn't needed after a specific configuration is accomplished.
