I present the hardest Contra challenge of them all... Can you finish this trailer? I couldn't do it. Got bored. Ya know, Konami has made Contra entries in that 3D overhead isometric style at least twice before. I'm talking about Contra: Legacy of War (PS1) and Neo Contra (PS2). Neither of those reviewed or sold particularly well in their day. I don't foresee Contra Rogue Corps fairing any better.

Devotion is a horror game released earlier this year by a Taiwanese company named Red Candle Games. I never played it myself, but it got compared to P.T. I did play the previous game by Red Candle called Detention. Not as a great as some say, but I thought it was good. In any case, the game got removed from Steam after a controversy because of a hidden message in the game's code comparing President Xi to Winnie the Pooh or something. In any case, there's no way to purchase the game nowadays - and this is a game that was rated 9.8 by ign.jp. A real shame. More info here:

Yeah, Winnie the Pooh is straight up banned in China I believe. Nutty stuff.

EVO is this weekend. I get the feeling nobody here would be that interested though.
I love how Harada (Tekken producer) participates in these and the Tekken World Tours. He's pretty legit at his own game too.
Anyways, I mainly just get pumped to watch Tekken finals. Tekken 7 is freaking hype and fun to watch.

Time for Contra to get the Metal Gear Survive treatment I guess, Konami wants their franchises to burn.
I want this game to fail so bad.

I don't watch live, but I typically catch the title matches for the games I care about. In the past, I've enjoyed seeing Street Fighter or MvC players go head-to-head.

I caught the finals of Dragon Ball FighterZ and Samurai Showdown today... it was pretty hype! Glad I didn't miss the Tekken grand finals though, that should be tomorrow.

Sometimes I'll just randomly browse Amazon to find out about products and games that never show up in the media. Today I ran into Bee Simulator for the Nintendo Switch. My knee jerk reaction was, "That's lame." but then I caught myself wishing it would turn out to be a hidden gem because of how "against the grain" it is. The premise reminds me of the sort of thing that would come out on the Atari VCS or Intellivison.

Terminator "Metako" just finished speedrunning Final Fantasy 1 through 15 this morning at 92 hours. Minus 11 and 14 of course, but yeah. ONE THROUGH FIFTEEN. He took hour breaks every 24 hours. I've watched this guy do some of his past 1-13 marathons before, but this was unreal. There was another guy I mentioned months back that ran most of the DQ franchise and hit 80 some hours, it looked like he was at death's door and seriously concerning. This Metako guy though, he didn't really seem phased. Definitely blessed with some insane genes or something.
