Wonder how it is? Never hear much about the DS one that got localized... Are you talking about Suikoden Tierkreis? Yeah. Maybe it's good but I recall it having a terrible dub.

That explains why there's a patch for the game that lets you play with Japanese voices but English text.

I liked Tierkreis. Yeah, it's a bit different from the main series, but I still found it fun. The MC has really fast voice acting, though - I'm assuming they sped it up to save space.

THE Yoshi P or someone else? lol. Looks pretty cute, sounds easy though.

Oh yeah, been meaning to check that one out. I'm hoping these are deceptively dark haha. Reminds me of how Momodora is kind of cute at a glance, but reminds me of Bloodborne in spots.

In Japan there is an aesthetic genre called "gurokawa". It basically means "creepy cute", characterized by a juxtaposition of kawaii visuals with grotesque elements and morbid humor. These "Junkoid" Metroid hacks may lean towards that flavor, at least to an extent. (The excellent horror game I've told everyone about, and no one on HRG will ever play but me, Yomawari: Night Alone, is a good example.)

THE Yoshi P or someone else? lol. Looks pretty cute, sounds easy though. This romhacker actually calls themselves P.Yoshi, the tweet got the name backward. I don't play non-translation romhacks* but apparently Junkoid and Super Junkoid were very well received. *Maybe I would if one of my favorites games got a substantial one, like Phantasy Star IV or something... even then, not sure.
