Honestly when I get home on my desktop, www.siliconera.com/ is about it. Been a fan of them for a long time now and they've stayed the course in leaning more towards Japanese games, which is my preference usually. I think before that the last big site I was really into was probably Destructoid for awhile... the Jim Sterling years. I never cared for Kotaku or Polygon, etc much, but Destructoid were kind of cool for awhile I guess. www.rockpapershotgun.com/ - is good but I honestly kind of completely dropped them after the layout change, I still hate it. lol, they have some great articles but heavily focus on some PC genres I don't dig into much. On the other hand, doing a data entry job I listen to podcasts all day: Easy Allies (plus Frame Trap, which is more casual and long form talking about whatever the panel is playing, old and new. There's also Friend Code which is Nintendo centric) Giant Bombcast can be hit or miss but I like Jeff Gerstmann a lot. Beastcast is the GB's East coast group and a lot more energetic, I think even non-gaming people would get a kick out of their shenanigans and both podcasts are R rated I guess you could say. Game Informer, you could say they have the most "prestige" and are kind of corporate compared to others, but still good times. They often get interviews with developers which is cool.
So that's like a dozen hours of gaming talk a week for me that way.

XeogredIf I had a job such as yours, I could see myself also listening to podcasts all day. Makes sense. I was never a big fan of RPS; the layout change didn't help with that. It does continuously irk me to see sites redesign their layouts to accommodate smartphone browsing first and foremost. I understand I'm a dinosaur or whatever, but I really don't enjoy reading the internet via my smartphone. I'd much rather use a laptop with a big screen and an actual mouse/keyboard. Granted you can't do that as comfortably while standing in the subway, or pissing in a urinal, or driving in heavy traffic, or wherever people are where they absolutely must browse the internet 24/7. @tsumuri Looks like a proper site for those fluent in German. Which I am not, as I live in the USA and Deutsch is not a common language here.

Hmm, most of my rotation revolves around stuff like USGamer, Nintendo Life, the occasional RPS/Polygon link, and... I'm drawing a blank. I dig some of the Eurogamer/Digital Foundry stuff as well. I still get physical Game Informer mags, but don't actually read the website.

Monsters do truly exist in this world (confirming that I see the standing urinal thing all the time in public).
And I agree, it's atrocious how bad modern web design has become over the years. Twitch went with a lame update recently as well and thought pure white/black backgrounds per theme weren't a recipe for instant eye strain apparently. I'm talking pure 000000 and FFFFFF. The contrast was so bad and annoying. Luckily only took a day or two for some people to throw out some plugins to make it look like the old theme that worked.
