Well, I played a sorta-falling block puzzler in Bust-A-Move last night. I might play a little more tonight, but the bubble placement proves really weird in the SNES version. I was missing a lot of shots that I thought should have nestled into place, but they have weirdly sticky snap placement going on. Later versions I've played seem better in this regard.

I love Bust-A-Move. The most gaming I've ever done on phones is probably with variants of that. I always liked Breakout a lot back in the day too, guess that's pretty different.
I don't think I've ever actually finished Bust-A-Move SNES. I think it's pretty long.
I got the NEOGEO version of the first game on Switch and it's pretty cool. It gives you all the dip switch options and such, so you can change the difficulty and everything if you want. It defaults to a pretty tough arcade experience. The second game seems way better though so I'll have to grab it someday.
It would be cool if one of you guys hit up Adventures of Lolo, since I beat the first one last year and it's fresh in my mind. Or try to jump into 2 right away, because wow that one roadblocked me quick. Been thinking about loading that save up again...

Speaking of that, I just finished up a run. I can apparently pick up where I left off with a password, though. EDIT: Wow, you aren't kidding. 100 stages in the SNES version. I only got to 37! Those sticky physics are still throwing me off in spots. I also just realized that color red is hard to read, and the screen blurred a bit because that's a text scroll when I snapped it. Score is 3,020,930.

I finished world 3 tonight. World 4 has introduced pipes to the mix... This game's definitely getting tricky.

It would be cool if one of you guys hit up Adventures of Lolo When I think of puzzle games, that's the kind of puzzle game I was thinking of. Actual cerebral challenging stuff. I don't know if I'll hit up Lolo, but there's some stuff like that I want to play this month. Fire 'n Ice is very much in the same vein, just side-view instead of overhead. I'm presently stuck on stage 4-9, but I refuse to use a walkthrough. Maybe I'll figure it out tonight.

I might hit that up at some point, too. I remember getting stuck in the extra stages of Kickle Cubicle. I actually remember getting out a piece of graph paper and puzzling it out while I couldn't play, even. I did figure out the solution while not playing, and loved seeing it in action. Fire & Ice was one of those games I'd always hope to stumble across back in the day, but it never happened. Looking at its rarity now, it's not hard to see why.

The funny thing is, something I played last month felt a lot like some Lolo concepts in a 3D space...
I wonder if there's a full game like the Tron Bonne harbor puzzles, haha.

I wonder if there's a full game like the Tron Bonne harbor puzzles, haha. Well it's more or less based on the "Sokoban" game concept: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SokobanLots of old puzzle games use the concept. Here are a few to consider: (Maybe toei would like this one?) Here's one for anayo!

Even Dragon Quest has put them in place. That's probably the first place I was exposed to it.

Definitely been through my share of puzzles like that in RPGs, and I don't mind them, but I wouldn't play a game that's nothing but them.
