My virtual GOG ( Good Old Games) shelf... it's big and overwhelming. I scoop up games on those penny/dollar sales and have claimed just about every iconic game I grew up playing at a friends or heard about in magazines and stuff.

Is there a quick way to list those out? I might have... too many games on GOG. I have always heard good things about The Longest Journey, and have it on Steam. As usual, I've barely played it. I've also got the followups, which I remember weren't as well received. Got some Baldur's Gate goin' on up in there, reminding me I really should beat those games. Yay for Descent! Rayman Forever brings back memories as well. I have the disc copy of it. It's also harder than the console versions...

Sadly no, I just manually typed that all out.

Don't blame you there. I omitted a few from the list, games I've played some or like a full list of a series (the five Core Tomb Raider's, even though I decided to just play those on PSX/PSN haha).
I have 96 games on GOG and 348 games on Steam, but maybe less that are "need to play" there compared to GOG.

The Longest Journey made me realize adventure games maybe ain't for me.
Anyway, my strongest recommendations go to Gorky 17, Gothic 2 (only after you played the first game) and XIII. It's not that I don't like Planescape Torment a lot, but I don't think you could get into it. Although maybe I'm wrong.

I bet there's a tool out there that will let you export it easily. I might dig around later.
Planescape: Torment is definitely still on my list. I always bounce off of it, but that's been true of most Infinity Engine games for me.

I hesitated to type out Planescape since I sampled it some many years ago and couldn't get into it at all. Same with The Longest Journey too actually, though I remember what bugged me a lot about that one was having to play it in a very small window.
Are there story/mechanic reasons to not skip Gothic 1?

My understanding is that most of the Gothic series can kindly be defined as "janky". Still apparently good, though.

Yeah, the few people I know that love Gothic, loooove Gothic. I think it sounded like 2 was the fan favorite so I must have grabbed that on a sale. I'll wishlist 1 now.
