Looks pretty slick. I like this trend of bite-sized indie horror games. Seems like a good way to get into game making.

Looks pretty dang solid.
You know what would probably be cool? A Souls inspired beat em' up. I know I know, Souls influenced game #2859. But I can just picture a beat em' up having a cool hub like city area, branching paths/Metroidvania level design, permanent character upgrades and stuff like in the character-action genre. Really just bringing the character-action genre influences back to beat em' up, make them feel like bigger adventures and give the beat em' up style a little more longevity in the game, drawing them out which could be a good thing. Character-action games are fairly adjacent to ARPG's to me, some like Nier Automata I think totally overlap in both areas too. So it probably shouldn't be too hard to bring those elements to a game that has beat em' up styled combat. *shrug
