The first Metroid Prime has Phendrana Drifts. I remember it being pretty awesome when I first got to that area.

The music there is also fan-freaking-tastic.

There are many games I enjoy that have snow in them (I will try to post a few later) but here is the game I am currently playing that is filled with snow: D2 for Dreamcast

Oh yeah, D2. I've always been curious about that game. It was one of those Dreamcast games previewed before the system even launched, and it's probably more accessible than either D or Enemy Zero...

I don't know why I singled out Phantasy Star 3 when 4 has an entire planet under a huge snowstorm when you first get there (Dezolis). It's a big chunk of the game. I remember finding the houses and taverns with fireplaces seemed particularly cozy after coming from outside. Definitely relatable for me.

Xenoblade Chronicles has the Valak Mountain area. Final Fantasy XII has a snowy mountain area as well, but I don't recall the name of it. (Super Ghouls n Ghosts video) Ah, great one! I'm pissed I forgot it. It starts off with precipitation, but it doesn't look like straight snow. Maybe that's what it's supposed to be, but since the beginning of the level looks like mostly ice, I always thought of it as freezing rain or a rain/snow mix. But once you get to the top, there's that avalanche part.

The music there is also fan-freaking-tastic. Yes it is! I can still hear it in my head to this day. The sound design was great, too. I seem to remember crunchy snow noises under Samus's boots.
