Are there any other PC-FX translations in the works? I know about Zeroigar, but that Last Imperial Prince game looks pretty neat.

Nekozomb was working on Ruruli Ra Rura back in 2016, released a partial patch. Welcome to Pia Carrot has a complete patch. Other stuff I'm seeing on the internet has long since fizzled out. It's not exactly a popular system, unfortunately.

I kind of wish NEC and Hudson Soft had come out with a "real", more well-rounded console (at least in terms of software) around that time, just to see what kind of games we would've gotten, but I guess there just wasn't enough room in the market anyway, what with Sony coming out of nowhere and taking the lead.

Genesis / Mega Drive:
- Sonic & Knuckles - Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master - Streets of Rage 2 - Thunder Force IV - Castlevania Bloodlines
Someone might die here...

Hahaha! I'm glad it's not just me (or Ex and others) that now agree that PSIV is S-tier gaming. It'd be an easy choice for me from that top-5, though - Thunder Force IV would be toast. Oh, and I recently did a top 20 over on Sega-16. Here's what I came up with... 01. Phantasy Star IV 02. Streets of Rage 2 03. Gunstar Heroes 04. Shining Force II 05. Beyond Oasis 06. Monster World IV 07. Ristar 08. Shinobi III 09. Shining Force 10. TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist 11. Streets of Rage 12. Ranger X 13. Landstalker 14. Castlevania Bloodlines 15. Contra: Hard Corps 16. Crusader of Centy 17. Shadow Dancer 18. Sonic 3 & Knuckles 19. Sonic the Hedgehog 20. Vectorman

I think Castlevania Bloodlines would have to go for me. Thunder Force IV has that sci-fi edge, is tied with Shinobi III for my top favorite Genesis OST, and is just my favorite shmup in general next to Mushihimesama. I looove a lot of Castlevania, but I think in a case by case basis I'm not sure if they'd always win. But I should just say I have a very solid strong top 6 now for the Genesis...
In my post where I made that list, I still agree with my other honorable mentions: Streets of Rage 3, Ristar, Vectorman, Contra Hard Corps, Mega Turrican... maybe I should come up with a top 20 if I can too.

Yeah, I was looking at my top games, and trying to break them up into tiers. It's proving incredibly difficult to do. I keep waffling on whether Bloodlines/Hard Corps are A-tier or B-tier for me. I think the former is probably A-tier for my tastes, and Hard Corps B-tier, so there's the first split. Figuring out what goes into S-tier is also rough, but I can state unequivocally that PSIV, SoR2, and Gunstar Heroes are in it.
If you have a Sega-16 account, you should put your two cents in over there! They're looking at compiling the list around early March, so you've got time. I do think my Top 20 reflects my Nintendo-leaning (or RPG-leaning) tastes overall, though. And while I think the Genesis library's quality drops off quicker than SNES (at least for me), it probably isn't that way for some others. Genesis has a ton of amazing shooters, it's just a genre that I tend to devalue.
