I could almost imagine an '80s space fighter taking off from there.

To me, this looks like a part you'd buy for one of your mechs in an Armored Core game. Like a radar upgrade or some such. Definitely WTF for a console design. Although it looks like it'd survive a tumble down a flight of stairs.

Anyone want an unofficial port of Mega Man X for the Genesis? Sounds pretty good (literally, that's Savaged Regime's FM work) to me!

Wow! I hope that pans out, I'd definitely play it.
Making me dream this one could happen too...

I'm pretty sure there is a pirate version on Genesis, but as you might have guessed, it isn't very good.
Oh, wait, it's Rockman X3.

For being an unofficial port, that's high quality stuff. Doesn't quite have the minutiae polish of the SNES original, but it's not a bad facsimile by any means. I think a port like this could have sold back in the early '90s for sure. Interesting that the designers of this port gave Mega Man little voice samples though.

For like a decade now, some of us have been hoping the Xenosaga games would get remastered or ported. I think that chapter has officially ended on a sad note now:
I saw Harada tweet about it this morning. For years he was trying to rally up fans and support, which happened with a little Xenosaga forum back in the day, then some petition here and there at some point. Not surprised though. I would have thought with how much buzz KOS-MOS got with her Xenoblade 2 appearance, that would have been a good time to strike on it. When Xenoblade 2 dropped the Switch was selling indie re-releases and everything like hot cakes, but there was still a little window for things like this before it got a bit crowded like now.
Sad. My hope for these would have been no censorship, dual audio, maybe a speed up feature, etc. Guess I'll just have to emulate and play the undubs myself someday.

Folks, there's a massive Kunio collection incoming, and it's actually going to localize not one, not two, but eleven new titles in English. Happy days are here again.

I saw that earlier, and I was trying to figure out whether there were any games in there that hadn't been fan-translated already. I recognize a lot of them despite the new localized titles, but some of them I'm not too sure about. If it's all 8 and 16-bit era Kunio, then all of it is already playable in English, though it's still cool anyway.

I think it's all NES titles for this one, and you're right, most have already been fan-translated if memory serves. Still, I find this to be amazing, in much the way SquareSoft localizing Seiken Densetsu 3 did. I would love for this to become a trend. Bring us a Front Mission collection!
