I don't think you can just chalk things up to "just games", though. By that I mostly meant that it's kind of ridiculous how the guy who reviewed Xenogears pretty much assumes that only liars and atheists would enjoy a game like that. I think it's possible to enjoy a piece of media even if it doesn't reflect your real life values. I do believe parents should at least be aware of what their children are playing, but I also believe the ESRB is a better gauge for that rather than whether or not a game upholds Darwinism.

Yeah, that's definitely a bit much. I quite enjoyed Xenogears, even if it falls apart on the second disc.

Guys, guys, GUYS! All this talking about Pokemon sparked a thought today. Could we make Nuzlocke November a thing?

I was raised in the communist New England churches. My Bible School teacher brought her pet ferret everyday. I'm still Christian. Play video games and listen to black metal. Woof. We literally had a ferret running free around my 5th & 6th grade class in my weird (but actually pretty cool) elementary school. We also had an enormous old rabbit that stayed in its wooden habitat, though it wasn't actually a cage. The damn ferret eventually slid (well, okay, probably bit open) the rabbit's throat. Conclusion: rabbits = cool pets, ferrets = nah. chibby I think Ex has been planning to make it Natsume November for a good while now.

Could we make Nuzlocke November a thing? As toei said, we already decided to do Natsume November this year. But there's always next year!

If we have to stick to alliterations for months themes that aren't October's, I claim September 2019 as SEGA September. This December could be... Data East month? Unless we go with some kind of Christmas or Winter theme (Christmas would be a little cheesy, but I guess Winter can work).

If we have to stick to alliterations for months themes It's cute but I think if we keep doing that, it'll prove limiting eventually. Personally I think a combo of Christmas/Winter themed retro games would be good for December. Mainly I want to make sure that when we do a themed month, it's defined enough to have an identity, but vague enough that those who want to participate can do so within the means they have available. "Means" may necessitate emulation though.
