Where we post awful BGMs that actively piss you off (or at the very least annoy you) while playing. Inspired by this first choice, the completely idiotic theme song to the awful lava level in Fausseté Amour. Usually, even crappy PCE CD games tend to have good soundtracks, but this game doesn't; they're mostly very minimalistic, 15-second loops. This one is the worst, though. Special shout-out to the cheap haunted house girl scream samples you will hear over and over as you suffer through this level.
Couldn't find separate tracks, marked the time:
If it works, it should be at 5:11.
Uuuugh just listening to it enough to test it pisses me off.

Wow that is terrible.
Here's one.
Kid Chameleon soundtrack. The whole thing. Dated ugly abrasive Western jank. Just sucks total balls. Much like the game itself.
Here's another one, something my brother used to always play.
It's like the worst possible 90s musical clichés rolled into one. Nu metal, aimless techno synth noodling, sterile squeaky-clean production, just pure garbage.

If it works, it should be at 5:11. Uuuugh just listening to it enough to test it pisses me off. This is aggressively bad. And the track only lasts 19 seconds (plus a few seconds where it just trails off)! So it loops over and over again, with an audible pause before it restarts, the way old CD systems did it. The next level's music samples baby laughter (the canned type you might hear in Pampers' commercials) and an adult's hysterical laugh, yet somehow manages to be less aggravating. Sarge This sounds like a total mental breakdown in 8-bit. I actually stopped playing Jajamaru Gekimaden not too long after that part, though it wasn't necessarily because of the music. Listening to other parts of the video, a lot of it has that quality. All that fast, relentlessly aggravating noise in short looping patterns that all sound the same. Sounds like a madman composed it. bonesnapdeez Just sampling random parts of the Kid Chameleon OST, the tune that starts around 18:03 is a cacophony of jank. "Abrasive" sums it up perfectly. Wow.

Oh, I very much remember that track from Faussete Amour. Terrible, terrible stuff. I hated hearing that thing on loop. The game itself ain't too bad, though. Not amazing, but not bad.
EDIT: So, I love Dragon Warrior III. But this track... oof. It does the job (it is a ghost ship, after all), but it's not easy listening.

I kind of dig that Kid Chameleon OST. It's phat FM Genesis for sure, reminds me a bit of Toejam & Earl. I agree that part toei pointed out is weird though haha. So far, Sarge's tune takes the cake. That is freaking distracting.
Although not as abrasive as the tracks you guys are bringing up, I can't stress enough how much I utterly hated this track in Shadow Hearts. It seriously feels like an error placement that didn't get fixed or noticed before the game was printed to disc. It's in one of the late game towns. The game certainly has its goofy moments and jokes, but otherwise was a dark gothic JRPG... the very first town is a story arc about cannibals. This crap just annoyed me so much lol
Here comes the Sesame Street gang!

Xeogred This is what this first reminded me of: Definitely a weird choice for Shadow Hearts. Kid Chameleon has some decent basslines, but other than that it's just random noise. ToeJam & Earl is pretty solid funk (very close to Herbie Hancock).

While playing Shadow Hearts, that video accurately sums up how I felt when I got to that town and heard the theme. Then of course... that town was the hideout for a group and one of your most frequent pit stops so you got to hear it a lot! ... For contrast, this was the theme that played in the hideout in some underground/sewer area in that very same town. And this track sums up what Shadow Hearts was more about. So imagine climbing a ladder from a dank sewer rag tag hideout up to the main area of the town and that theme I posted above kicks in every time. lol wtf

Well, that's easy.
It plays on loop for the entire game, too. It's torture.
