Light Crusader looks pretty cool and weird in a good way It is a super unique game, and the most un-Treasure game Treasure ever made: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/genesis/586289-light-crusader/reviews/166879I think PSII is the most sci-fi one of them all It is. I could explain why but that'd be spoilers. You won't be lacking in sci-fi with PS2. A lot of people crap on Phantasy Star III, but I think that's a fun one I had a good time with PS3 when I beat it. But I only beat it once, and that was back when it originally released. So a long time ago. No idea how PS3 has aged.

PS3 has obvious unfulfilled potential but it has legit qualities has well. The first generation is pretty cool, but the further you get into it, the emptier it gets. There are more and more towns with no NPCs, for example, just stores. Or maybe there's one person who says one line. The skeleton of a great 16-bit RPG story is there, but not the flesh. And it bothered me at the time how few bosses there are in the game. There are barely any, and they're a complete joke. But I guess it wasn't standard yet to have a bunch of boss fights - it wasn't a thing in the NES days, looking back, and the 16-bit generation of RPGs wasn't established by then. One of my favorite main themes ever, though:
The Taiwanese Genesis RPG Brave Battle Saga is actually pretty good, and it's turn-based. There's also Traysia (decent story, weaker gameplay) and Sorceror's Kingdom which is a traditional RPG/SRPG hybrid and is solid (but ugly).
