Wow this looks extremely good and like the killer app for VR, finally. Some of the classic Half-Life monsters must be pretty creepy to see in VR, even the head crabs will be freaky now haha. I look forward to watching a playthrough at least. Who knows when the heck I'll actually have VR hardware or the space for it.
Alyx has a new VO but it seems like they did a good job finding someone who sounds similar enough.

Easily the most impressive looking VR game I've seen. Not enough for me to buy a PC rig and VR headset powerful enough to play the game, but it's a strong step in the right direction.

I really don't like the "sprite" art style at all, but the gameplay looks really tight.

Ex: Yeah I'm with you on SOR4. There was another video I watched with four players and maybe I'm just getting old or stuck in my preferences, but it was hard to parse what was even going on with that visual style. The direct feed video looks a lot crisper than the trailers though, mechanically it looks good and hopefully controls well. I'm excited but yeah, not sure why they opted for this art style. Doesn't really invoke Genesis at all. It's entirely possible Trials of Mana's combat will be better than FF7R. The remixed music is great and I'm so floored by how great this looks for a B-budget effort from Square, all things considered. I wonder what made them try harder on this one than the original Secret of Mana remake. Well I don't think that one really blew up and maybe they got the message, or SD3 has more reverence in Japan, or they're testing the waters to bring Mana back... who knows, I'm sure this will still be super niche' though. But I'm freaking excited.

I wonder what made them try harder on this one than the original Secret of Mana remake. IIRC the original platform target for the SoM remake was mobile. So the graphics were targeted towards a lower tier of hardware. ToM remake though appears to be targeting the Switch first and foremost.

I thought it was Adventures of Mana that targeted mobile. Did the SoM remake end up on anything other than PS4?
EDIT: Oh, it was on Vita as well. That definitely explains the lower spec.
I think SoR4 looks pretty slick. Guess I'm down with the art style a little more.
