I'll agree with some random comments I saw about it today, it looks cute and cool...
... but Turok? *scratches head*

Donkey Kong Country Returns is getting an HD release... on the nvidia Shield in China. This joins Super Mario Galaxy 1-2 and Twilight Princess (which had some AI generated texture remastering from what I remember hearing, looks better than the Wii U remaster). nvidia Shield exclusives for China.

It's a big ol' market.

Oh I get that, but chances of these coming to the Switch for even more sales? Probably zilch, cause Nintendo is Nintendo.

(Death Stranding PS1 Trailer) When I was in high school I tried to make animations like this in Blender. I wanted it to look like a PS1 game so I made everything really low poly and turned off texture anti aliasing. I don't think it looked it 100% authentic though because I didn't know how to get the textures to warp like in a real Playstation game. I halfway wonder if an alternate-reality version of Death Stranding for PS1 would have had pre-rendered cut scenes like Final Fantasy 7 though. I have a Switch as well. My gaming this year so far is like 80% NES, 15% Switch, and 5% PC. I think the Switch Lite will help Nintendo sell Switches to people who were on the fence about getting one, but it's not for me. The TV connectivity is an indispensable feature for me. Also I see pre-owned OG Switches on craigslist and the facebook marketplace for close to $200 all the time. Although I wonder what the pre-owned Switch lite market will look like in a year or two... Kawaii Turok? That's hilarious. XD

Something interesting I hear from some gaming podcasts, apparently a lot of 3DS owners still don't own a Switch. I think the Lite is going to be the answer for those people and the Vita types like Ex brought up and it'll probably do insane in Japan. The Switch is already killing it, so them going this handheld route with the revisions... it's going to do gangbusters I'm sure. But yeah, not really for all of us here who want the "Switch" aspect.
There's some big PS4 releases coming out in the coming months I'm drooling for, but I think I could go all in focusing on the Switch for awhile now. It doesn't sound like there's much interest in Mario Maker 2 here but I want to check it out. Fire Emblem Three Houses is looking pretty damn cool and big budget, I'll be curious how that one turns out. Then there's Astral Chain from Platinum, Link's Awakening Remake, Dragon Quest XI, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting or things without release dates yet. I also want to check out Blaster Master Zero 2 sometime this year, Gunlord EX, and will be hitting up those NEOGEO shmups for our shmup club month. Switch is getting stacked.

I'm a 3DS owner who still doesn't own a Switch. The Lite doesn't really appeal to me in the slightest. It's still too big to be really useful as a portable system and honestly if I'm ever going to buy a Switch I actually want it to do the thing it's named for.

Even as a Dragon Quest fiend, I didn't care for DQIX either. I mean, it's not bad, but I think the MMO-styled subquests were a bad idea.
