Yeah, I wish they could have come up with something better, but I also can see why they removed the old version, since it was an Islamic prayer. Apparently it came from some sample CD, and then they realized what it was and replaced it. Nintendo tends to avoid that kind of stuff, even if they make a lot of allusions to aspects of real-life religions without explicitly naming them.
Nice writeup, Anayo. Very informative for a complete Zelda ignoramus like myself. I'll get to it eventually. I've gotta say, the original Fire Temple chant is infinitely better than the silly WiiUWiiU chanting from the new version. Hopefully you can find roms with the original track and red blood.
