Legend is pretty solid - it's honestly what got me into modern Tomb Raider.

What about Underworld? The last of the second era, I never really hear much about that one. But it always seems pretty good when I look into it. I'm guessing maybe gamers were once again burned out and the series needed that reboot again.

I thought it had nice graphics, but I hated the level designs. I quit playing it in disgust. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, I might have just not been in the right mood for it. All the same, I think you would agree some of its level design is far from intuitive. You can probably buy the game for next to nothing these days.

So that's how I'm playing these versions. It's interesting to remember that Legend and Anniversary were on the PS2 as well actually.

Underworld is fine, although it feels a bit janky, and some of the level designs can get a little odd. There were times where I'd just be ledge shimmying, and just fall right off out of the blue. It's not enough to actively harm the experience, though. I played on 360, but I don't know if they made any changes or improvements to the PS3 port.

I actually played through the PSP Anniversary. Now that I have it on PS3, I will likely play through it there at some point. I'm sure there was a pretty decent amount sacrificed on that system, although I definitely enjoyed it.

Oh you've beaten Anniversary? Well now I'm extra curious to hear what you'll make of the original in comparison if you run through it sometime.
I did jump back into Legend between the last few posts. I'm about 2 hours in and 33% completed or something. It's hilarious how Lara is basically Commando / Arnold here in some of the cutscenes... girl doesn't give a damn about killing these baddies. All around pretty decent simple stuff. So yeah I'll probably keep playing now and will update in the club thread.

Yeah. I've actually beaten all of them in the "modern" set, starting with Legend... and none of the old ones. Ha.
