I tried playing through the SMS version earlier this year, and kept getting my head handed to me. It's got some nice grappling hook action, though. I wonder if the Game Gear version is any easier? Yeah, the Game Gear version has a health bar while the SMS version has one-hit deaths, IIRC? And the level layouts are also pretty different, even though the visual themes for them are the same. They re-use some of the same content, but they're not quite the same game. It's kind of weird. It's also worth knowing that those two different routes you can choose between for each stage also correspond to difficulty levels. A is easy, B is a little harder. In the case of the GG game it's worth doing both cause they're very easy and very short.

That's the one I meant, I got confused because N. K. starred in Batman Forever (not as Catwoman) and the two of them look kind of similar to me. Man, those Joel Schumacher movies. Forgot he made two of those.

I'm glad the old Batman movies released when they did. Got some great games out of the two Burton films. Forever and Batman & Robin? I want nothing to do with these or their games in any capacity. (I've seen both movies and will be fine in life never seeing them ever again).

I did play through Batman Returns on Game Gear, or at least one route. It's a big improvement over the SMS version just because you've got a life meter. Everything feels a lot more fair overall, so I dig it. I'd say it's a 7/10.

Some of the levels feel super empty, with almost no enemies, and the design isn't tight enough to pull off the Shinobi-style one-hit deaths. My only beef with the Game Gear game is that it's over so quickly. I would have liked at least one more level, you know? The GG Shinobi games have a lot more content, for example.

Nicole Kidman was the best Catwoman, but someone should play this: Or not... Unfortunately I actually own that game on Xbox. It's... not great. A female superhero game on Xbox/PS2 that's not well known: I've got it on Xbox as well.
