Getting out of the collector game really made life so much easier. I'm just thankful I got (most) everything I needed before Facebook took over. I do miss how abundant the selling life was on forums, though. That's where all the good deals could be had, and of course you then pass it on. It was going to people you basically knew.

Hilarious thread, but man, I do miss the old days of forum BST. Facebook/Craigslist/Reddit is all just so scammy and overpriced, but back in the day, the best deals were had on forums, both what I bought and what I sold. Not everyone, but then on top of that you started developing a real relationship with other sellers/traders. They were good years. Now the forums are all dead/everything is just on ebay.
I've got hundreds of games I would love to share with other forum members, but instead I've resigned to the fact that it'll all probably go to LukieGames.

Well on HRG anayo and Sarge seem to be our most fervent vintage video game buyers. Who knows, they might purchase from your stash. I don't think we have a thread for selling through the forum yet. But if you guys want to create such a thread, knock yourselves out.

I miss the days when I could actually stumble across stuff in the wild (pawn shops and the like) and actually get a deal. Definitely not that way anymore. I wish I'd had more money back then.

Oh, yeah, resellers destroyed that market. That and now everyone thinks their beat up N64 is worth a Benny.

Yuuuup. It kills me, too. I'll look at some folks' selling prices on, say, Facebook Marketplace, and I'm like, "Y'all are asking way too much for this stuff. You're not getting $250 for your N64 and six common carts."

So far I've only traded one game with Sarge. I used to trade with and buy from dudes on Racketboy all the time, though. I've often wondered if rising old game prices are a bubble or if prices will just keep rising forever.

I searched the old RB feedback. I don't think you and I ever traded anything. It's probably indicative that their totals haven't been updated in over 3 years.
