The grappling feels a lot different from Ninja Five-O, for what it's worth. I really enjoyed that game, though. If you have played Bionic Commando, particularly the Game Boy version, you've got a solid idea how it feels. I don't like Bionic Commando. I keep wanting to jump because it's so much more simple and practical than having to grapple for everything. Only tried the NES game, though.

If I remember correctly, the only Bionic Commando that allows you to jump is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. I can't recommend that particular entry though, because of the seven releases in the BC franchise, BCR2 is the only one I've not yet beaten or even played yet. You can jump in Aquales, but you do still have to grapple fairly often.

Yeah, I guess comparing it more to Batman Returns on Game Gear might work better, since you can jump. BCR2 lets you jump, but it's such a weak little thing it barely counts.

I heard this track again and don't care if I'm posting it again either. SONG OF THE YEAR!
This is no new games vs old talk, but for FM3 to still stand next to Nioh 2 and Doom Eternal for me currently, man this game is freaking amazing. I think once I finish this one up or enjoy FM4-5 just as much... I will start calling this my top favorite SRPG series.
Was off work today and already got several missions in, at 51/60. So the final stretch has begun! There's still only been like ~2 missions/maps that I didn't like, so 95% of the game has been incredible outside of those short moments. The mission I just did had my four characters start off on foot and I had to sneak into some units on the map, I love how a lot of missions continue to change things up and force you to play a little differently. The map before this was funny since it had some boss type on a high up platform where you're supposed to use an elevator to reach him, but I just had Alisa sniping him with missiles.

This is how epic the ARM SMASH skill is.
Alisa just learned this... it even applies to her punches. But with missiles, I can snipe people from afar and if this lands, blowing off an arm can render an enemy wanzer completely worthless if all they have left is the wanzer arms for weak punches and no other actual weapons.
The final stretch is proving to be tougher and it's awesome.

I bought a copy on eBay. Heavy Gear is full of 90's charm but I don't think I like the way it plays as much as MW2. So I might try to squeeze in Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries before March ends. Then in April I'll begin playing Diablo 1. I just discovered that Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries runs at under 10 fps on my 1996 PC, so I'm no longer playing it this month. I'll play it later when I get my 1999 PC restored and working again.

anayo : Ouch. Yeah, that's not gonna be playable. That sounds like what my brother did with our Pentium 166 MHz and MechWarrior 3. Don't even ask how he made that work. Lots of sniping, I think. I'm surprised, though, that it requires more than the other games. The minimum specs seem to be the same between it and MW2/Ghost Bear's Legacy. Maybe something weird in the install/setup?

On paper it meets the minimum specs. In practice it runs really poorly. That's okay, though. So far I've had to shelve Descent 2 and Sonic Robo Blast for the same reason.

Remind me again what your computer's specs are? I'm surprised that Descent 2 doesn't work very well, either, although it has been some time since I ran it on my P166.
EDIT: Never mind, did a search instead of being lazy. Pentium 200 MHz should be plenty zippy for D2 as well. Very strange indeed.
