In-game time was about 22 hours, which I'd say is standard for a SNES RPG. I really binged it, which is something I only do on the rare occasions when I play a RPG these days. Played through it in four days, but really most of it was day 2 and 3. On the last day all I had left to do was finish the second half of the final dungeon. I was somewhat under-leveled throughout, and I did die a few times at the end, but since you can save anywhere it wasn't much of a setback.

That's not too terrible. I miss the days where an RPG would finish up in that 20-30 hour range.

A good one today my dudes... The 1998 PS1 action-JRPG Brave Prove has received a full English fan translation: I'm always happy to see a new PS1 translation. This one will slot nicely into April's "Action-RPGs" Club Retro theme.

Now that's unexpected! I can't even think of another PS1 ARPG translation before this one (Tales of Phantasia doesn't count). This is the last game ever released by Data West, a company whose name seemed to have been chosen just to tell the world they weren't Data East. Also the lead character looks like the guy from Terranigma, though there's no connection.

Reminds me a bit of the Oasis games. I'll definitely check this out in April.
