I will always play anything that Remedy develops. They're by far my favorite Western development studios, and I couldn't be more excited for their remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2.

Speaking of Remedy, I ended up starting Quantum Break on the Steam Deck last night. I'm likely going to burn through it - I know it got middling reviews, but I really enjoy their output. And while I really haven't given Max Payne a fair shake, I'm very excited about those remakes.

Remedy are indeed the goods in my book too. I'm excited for these remakes. I wonder if it's a move towards them trying to completely get the IP back... it's pretty apparent they want to build up a Remedy-verse with their characters and stuff crossing over, so it's kind of criminal Max Payne is owned by Rockstar now. When the character is modeled after Sam Lake (Remedy creative director/writer) himself... what a mess.

Sam Lake is a pretty good name for a private detective, so maybe they could just have him as their new protagonist and hint unofficially to a dark past as a ex-cop-turned-vigilante whose initials may have been M.P.

As someone who has beaten the original PC versions of MP1 and MP2, I am copacetic with remakes for sure. (As long as they completely redo that maze part in the first game with the crying baby.) Third person bullet time is always fun.

The main actor/voice for Alan Wake was a different main character in Control, so yeah haha...

Unironically, Nintendo. Not quite sure what that says about the modern gaming landscape.
