Any PCE-CD games released in 1997? Hey, Mega Man & Bass was released on the SFC in 1998... you never know.
Of course there's a nicely constructed video for 1997 too heh.
So many games I've played from this year. I'll have to dig around a bit.

Kudos to NEC keeping it going for as long as possible.

They're also ports of PC-98 games, I think, so it's not like they had to invest in making games from scratch. They have a pretty solid reputation as cult horror games.
There was one proper game released for NEC's last console, the PC-FX, released in 1997, Zeroigar. You might like it. It's a Compile-style shmup. In fact, I'm pretty sure some ex-Compile staff worked on it.

Silhouette Mirage definitely looks interesting.

Silhouette Mirage definitely looks interesting. Just be sure you don't play the Wrecking Designs version, they made a mess of the game as usual. I don't think there's an Un-Worked Designs patch for it either, but you can play through the Japanese original just fine.

At the risk of repetition, anyone that hasn't played SotN by now needs to.
I'm surprised at how many of these I've actually played. But Colony Wars is one that's been on my radar for a while, and I've booted it a few times and been impressed by what I saw.
