XeogredThat's a highly respectable beat my dude. I still think the NES version is best, but I definitely enjoyed the futuristic aesthetic of the GB reimagining. It's an incredibly well made Game Boy title, superior technically and game design wise. I don't recall it being very difficult, but the last time I fully beat this one was back in 1998, so that may be true.

I am thinking the NES game was probably a little harder overall but this one definitely had more trickier, required swinging/platforming that later on you'd often only gave you one shot at, otherwise you fall to your doom or spikes that you can't get out of. I'm thinking this one would be tougher to jump into without playing the NES game first. You really gotta know how to use the grapple hook to get around.
Think I dug the enemy variety more in this one as well.

I waffle back and forth on which is better, the NES or Game Boy game. Both are A+ titles.

Yeah, nuff' said haha. Could tell I needed to play the GB one after seeing footage of it and liking the NES game. Both are awesome.

Elite Forces tries to duplicate the formula, but it definitely comes off as a weaker imitation. I still enjoyed it well enough, though. Just don't expect amazing things like the NES/GB game.

I do not recommend Elite Forces in any capacity. Nor do I recommend the original arcade game (which I have beaten out of respect only). Aside from the NES and GB BC games, I do recommend Bionic Commando Rearmed (2008) and Bionic Commando (2009). But you've already peaked with the NES and GB entries to be honest.

ReArmed 2 is decent, not spectacular. I don't like the wide open stages of that one - it feels more Genesis-era platformer than tightly-designed NES platformer.
