Pretty weird dream last night, was in some sort of retro store, and found a cart of some dragon shooter (it looked a lot like Dragon Spirit, but nicer), and was going to buy it because it was priced pretty cheaply. Some guy working at the store told me, no, you don't want that version, it's the "Kids" version and isn't worth all that much. During that time, apparently the title for the game morphed into Virtua Fighter 2 Kids, which had me puzzled.
Also, the cart was for some sort of portable system, and looked a little boomerang-ish? Weird dream, and it continued, although I'm struggling to remember the rest at this point.

Boomerang cartridges might have been a boon. When kids got tired of the game, then just throw it around like a boomerang. Oh no the game hit a tree and broke? Parents will have to buy that game again. Win win for both the kids and the publisher.

I was in an arcade. It felt similar to the dream from around October of last year, because it was supposed to be present day, but the arcades all looked like early to mid 90’s Sega arcade model 2 games with 3D polygon graphics. I don’t remember any specific titles. There may have been a fighting game similar to virtua racing and perhaps a racing game. It was as though this place had some official Sega branding back in those days, and Sega had come and gone, but this place was still in business for some reason and they had never changed the theme. The only specific thing I can remember is venturing into a corner of the arcade that was closed off and people weren’t supposed to tread. In this closed off area I saw a cardboard cutout, like those displays they’ll set up at a movie theater to get people excited for a movie. The cardboard cutout read “LA MACHINE GUNS II” and displayed a CGI anime guy in a costume similar to one of the heroes from Burning Rangers for the Sega Saturn.
I guess this doesn't count as a dream about games that don't exist, since L.A. Machine Guns 2 actually exists in our reality. I still felt like mentioning it though.

I dreamed I came across a yard sale. Some guy's wife was selling his video game collection. I don't think she was doing this behind his back, I think it was more that he was getting out of the hobby or had died or something. Not sure exactly.
Some items for sale were normal, like a box full of Sega Dreamcast games. But there was one really weird item for sale. It was an IBM compatible PC merged with an NES. I guess it ran MS-DOS, but also had a slot for NES cartridges, kind of like the 286 PC with a Sega Genesis slot on it from 1990 or so. She wanted $150 for it. I kept agonizing over whether or not to get it.

Buy! Buy buy buy!
(Actually, I probably would be agonizing in a dream like that, too.)

anayo dreaming about finding rare video game stuff, meanwhile in my last dream I was trying to shoot a guy in the head but the gun kept misfiring. That's the extreme version of the dream where you're trying to fight a guy but your punches don't do anything. Just now I dreamed that me and 3-4 other guys had found the way to unlock these ancient statuettes. Each one of them let us turn into a new, stronger version of ourselves, and the power stacked up. Some nerd got in the room with the statuettes while we were searching for the keys to the others and had figured out the secret, so he turned into this giant beast and attacked us. "Oh", I said, "he's only at his little 20% form" (meaning he had only unlocked two statuettes), then we all turned into beasts ourselves and beat his ass.
