This has me thinking, I don't believe Smash Bros requires any of the weird gyro stuff? If my friends ever have another Smash Bros party I think I'd like to use my 8bitdo Pro 2.

Not that I'm aware of. Honestly, I can barely think of any game I own that requires gyro controls. Maybe Breath of the Wild? But yeah, Smash still has folks that play via Gamecube controllers, so nothing special needed.

There are two previous PSP games getting "remakes" for Switch: www.gematsu.com/2022/04/r-type-tactics-i-ii-remakes-announcedI'm honestly surprised to see R-Type Tactics and its sequel getting such treatment. These were niche even in Japan. In the USA we did officially get the first entry. Years later we got the second entry by way of an unofficial English fan translation.

I guess R-Type Final 2 did well enough for more.

I guess R-Type Final 2 did well enough for more. I guess so. Supposedly there's an R-Type Final 3 in the works.

Resurrecting this thread since it’s related to the Nintendo Switch. I can buy a pair of Nintendo Switch vouchers for $100. I can get it and buy Xenoblade 2 and 3, saving myself $20. Or I can buy Xenoblade 2 and Fire Emblem Engage. Or I can buy Xenoblade 3 and Fire Emblem Engage. Or I can save myself $100 and forget about it.
Thoughts?

The games come down to your personal preference (I like Fire Emblem, but not Xenoblade.)

I'd get Xenoblade 2 and Fire Emblem for some variety. But XB3 is incredible. Only makes sense to play them in order though. If you like XB2 more than the first, you'll know to check out XB3 down the road.

The games come down to your personal preference (I like Fire Emblem, but not Xenoblade.) No, no, this is a pair of game vouchers. This is a privilege given only to the most elite of Nintendo fans: the ones willing to spend like $20 a year for their online service. 🙃 I'd get Xenoblade 2 and Fire Emblem for some variety. But XB3 is incredible. Only makes sense to play them in order though. If you like XB2 more than the first, you'll know to check out XB3 down the road. Thing is, XB3 seems more interesting to me than XB2 but I still am interested in XB2 because of its… plot. Like, XB3 sounds more appealing from a story point of view whilst XB2 just looks pretty. Sell me on XB2, XB3, and/or Fire Emblem Engage basically. I’m open to other suggestions but it’s not an extensive list. www.nintendo.com/store/products/nintendo-switch-game-vouchers/Edit: I already have Dragon Quest XI for Switch and I love it but at $49.99, I do not recommend using the voucher on it when you can get two $59.99 games out of it.
