Wow, I thought $180 for Kirby 3 was crazy, but Pengo is > $500 (and that is the JP version!)
Anyways I'll be checking some of those out. I've heard/read good things about the Sailor Moon games, and I'll think she will enjoy those as well as Circus Mystery.

X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse
~ 1h22
Pretty solid fun until the absolutely terrible final boss! Took freaking forever. It's not even that interesting of a fight or patterns, just takes way too dang long to get good hits on him. Dumming that part down while throwing in another phase or something would have been cooler.
Had fun with most of the game up until that point though. It's funny how it looks and feels so much like Mega Man X, Demon's Crest, etc underneath. Probably the same tech. Some rocking tunes, some weird ones. I liked using Psylocke, Gambit, and Cyclops the most. But sometimes Wolverine was able to cheesy some bosses with his double forward attack. And Beasts' jumping down attack bouncing off boss heads was useful at times too. Psylocke wasn't always ideal for some of the bosses, since she didn't have much range with her punches. Gambit was fun but I noticed his attack animations were slower and could get interrupted, whereas those same bosses/enemies wouldn't be a problem for Cyclops or other characters. Weird.
Not bad. But be prepared for some annoying boss fights at times.

Mutant Apocalypse is pretty tough, that's a good beat man. I remember finishing this one back in the late '90s, took a whole weekend (I was playing on real hardware).
I see we're already a third of the way through this month. Next week I'll start finishing some games for this theme.

The secret to the Magneto fight is Wolverine and his Dragon Punch move. Well-timed, it will hit Mags and also fend off the steel he throws at you.

That makes sense, because Psylocke's up attack could sometimes pierce through the steel but you only got one lousy hit on him. Wolverine's uppercut probably registers a nice combo. Was the sequel any good? I sampled one level with Iron Man but it was mostly underwater and the framerate was killing me.

UN Squadron is well worth playing. The SNES version anyway, I beat that one back in '98 but I still remember it was a lot of fun. Well balanced for a shmup. I can't vouch for the arcade version though, never played it.

So is the time limit in SNES Prince of Persia annoying or no? That's kind of keeping me at bay with that one. I was going through the list again last night and these are the games that stuck out to me a bit: Super Nintendo U.N. Squadron 07/26/91 North America Super Nintendo Captain Commando 03/17/95 North America - I've played and enjoy the arcade version Super Nintendo Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow 12/20/96 Japan -the Shiny connection is fascinating, since this looks like shared Earthworm Jim tech. Seems a little long for a platformer though, I'm seeing like ~2 hours on YT Genesis The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie 06/02/94 North America - this looks like the Genesis version of The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse? Is this another TMNT Hyperstone Heist case and it's worth playing as well? Looks cool Super Nintendo Parodius Da! 07/03/92 Japan - I love Gradius III, so... Super Nintendo Axelay 09/11/92 North America - still don't know if I can get into those Mode 7 scrolling stages or whatever, but this game is still talked about to this day it seems Super Nintendo Pop'n TwinBee 03/26/93 North America Super Nintendo Dragon's Lair 06/25/93 Japan Cracked up when I saw Konami was attached to this abomination Super Nintendo Sunset Riders October 1993 North America Super Nintendo Lethal Enforcers 01/31/94 North America - OST seems insane Super Nintendo Animaniacs 11/30/94 North America - think I liked this one as a kid
Genesis Sunset Riders 1992 North America Genesis Rocket Knight Adventures 08/05/93 North America Genesis Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 09/23/94 North America

So is the time limit in SNES Prince of Persia annoying or no? That's kind of keeping me at bay with that one. It didn't stop me from beating it, so must not have been that annoying. 🤷♂️ >U.N. Squadron >Axelay >Sunset Riders Those I've finished and get my seal of approval. >Rocket Knight Adventures >Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 These I've played before and enjoyed, but didn't beat back in the '90s because they were rentals and I didn't have enough time. I will beat them this month.
