 That's right! Today HRG celebrates its fifth anniversary.  The fact a classically styled retro gaming forum survives in a world of instant social media/Discord is impressive. But to think HRG was created a mere five years ago is doubly so. I'll hardly take credit for HRG's survival though, because all of YOU made it possible. Yes YOU the HRG members who are reading this post right now. I personally consider HRG's members to be the most knowledgeable, ardent retro gamers around. The deep dive conversations, informative discoveries, and persistent communal enjoyment of long lost classics... it's all because of YOU. Please give yourself a pat on the back from me, for the part you've played in HRG's persistent success. Here's to five more years of HARDCORE. RETRO. GAMING. |

Really doesn't feel that long! A testament to how awesome retro games are and how fun discussing them can be. Always hoping we can round up a few more regulars as things go. Good times to be had here on simple forums of the old. It just works! We just getting this party started.  |

Yeah, feels like we created that logo just yesterday. At the same time, I was posting on the (already moribund) HG101 forum when I first noticed this place, and that feels like a lifetime ago. Memories are weird.
