- Aliens: Infestation
- Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
- Last Window: The Secret of Cape West
I recommend all three of those. Last Window only if you've already finished Hotel Dusk, as it's the sequel. I'm curious whether Ex ever played the Rengoku games Yes, I beat the first one: Might give the sequel a chance. Is there an option to turn it off or an undub out there? I should give that one a look at least someday. You can find the undubbed version at CDRomance. Probably space constraints. That's exactly why. They should have simply slowed playback speed a tad during playback. Would have solved the issue.

6/10 looks fair. The sequel looks a bit better in that the action may have improved, but it looks like the same formula so probably just as repetitive.

Sarge Definitely excited about both! I started DQVI once before and really enjoyed what I played (and I enjoyed IV, V, VII, VIII and XI, so I'm confident it'll be a winner for me). Between the two, I'm leaning toward Tierkreis because I have a huge soft spot for entries in game series that are dismissed due to being different from their predecessors (Chrono Cross, BoF: Dragon Quarter, etc.). Ex I did indeed play Hotel Dusk and thought it was great! I really liked Cing's work in general and am sad they're no longer around. Did you ever happen to play Again? I've heard mixed things but am tempted to try it anyway. I started Ghost Trick and am liking it quite a bit so far; just made it to Chapter 3. HLTB clocks it around 12 hours average, so it should be pretty doable.

I've heard mixed things but am tempted to try it anyway. Hotel Dusk is my all time most favorite adventure game ever, and I thought its sequel Last Window was excellent as well. Pains me that more folks haven't played Last Window, even those who enjoyed its predecessor, so by all means continue Kyle Hyde's story it's worth it. I'm as big a CiNG fan as you could hope to find, I've beaten all of their games except two.* And that includes Again: Again is good if you like dark psychological thriller stuff. It's very different in tone than Last Window or Trace Memory. *I haven't beaten these: Monster Rancher DS (DS) -Not a fan of the franchise. Little King's Story (Wii) -I own a physical copy, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Finally hit up some Soma Bringer this morning. Ex is there anyway to get DeSmuME to full screen correctly? Some of the screen kept getting cut off.
- Can instantly see the Secret of Mana comparisons. Yet it seems a bit odd how all your characters kind of blob up together on the enemy. I don't know how else to explain it. I think I'll get used to it.
- I played briefly enough to unlock some abilities and raise some stat points. All the mechanics seem pretty cool and it'll get more fun along the way I'm sure.
- Music is incredible... no surprise being Mitsuda. I was just caught off guard with it being NDS and all. - I'm guessing all the characters play the same? And it's the classes where they're different? I just picked the main default character and went with dual swords. Maybe the story perspective is different depending on who you pick? The characters all seem great already. No surprise since it's Monolith Soft. - Love that you can save anywhere... BUT I don't think I see a timer in the save file. Dangit, it's the 7th gen!!! Thought they had this figured out by now! I'll just have to manually do that unless I'm missing something. lol
Yeah seems like it'll be awesome.

Finally hit up some Soma Bringer this morning >desmume fullscreen I don't usually play desmume fullscreen, I just magnify the windows real big. But maybe this can help: fantasyanime.com/emuhelp/desmumeAlso you can give melonDS a try for that. >Music is incredible It really is an awesome OST. I downloaded the OST back in ye day and used to listen to it just as background music while doing other stuff. I've done that for very few games, a testament. >I'm guessing all the characters play the same? >And it's the classes where they're different? I didn't remember, but Wikipedia says: "There are six different specialized combat roles equivalent to standard character classes, which determines what weapons and skills they can equip.[1] They are Battlers (warriors), Dark (dark knights), Gunners, Kanbus (ninja), Koas (paladins), and Somas (mages). Each class uses a different fighting style: the Kanbus focuses on dual weapons and one-hit attacks, the Koas focuses on a combination of attack and healing abilities, the Dark sacrifices health to deal more damage, Gunners specialize in long-range attacks, Battlers focus on melee attacks, and Somas use long-range magic over close-range physical attacks.[2] Weapons are equipped based on a character's class, and can be upgraded using special items called Orbs.[2][7] Weapons and items collected through exploration and from enemy drops can be sold to other players through wireless connection.[2]"I do remember when I beat this game co-op, I played as Welt and she played as Millers. >Maybe the story perspective is different depending on who you pick? I can't remember man. I don't remember much of the plot, I just remember enjoying the gameplay and OST. >Yeah seems like it'll be awesome. Like I said, give it at least three hours before making a judgement call. That first hour or so is the least great, tutorials and all that.

Looks like a good tutorial to skim for the emulator. It's cool you make the dual screens vertical or horizontal. I'll see if I can fix the full screen issue and also mess with some of the upscaling options.

Progress tonight: Nanostray DS (2005) Finished 4 stages of 8, halfway done. This is a good looking tough ass shmup. Super Princess Peach DS (2005) Finished stages 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, and 1-4... halfway through first world. Figured I should finish this in lieu of Peach's upcoming game. This platformer is better than I remembered (many years ago played before, didn't beat). I wish you could select Peach's emotional girl powers without having to use the touchscreen to do so. But so far, so decent.

Well this is funny, you reminded me of some handheld shmups I own and enjoyed, Iridion 3D & II. I thought they were NDS but they're GBA, yet they're from the same devs as Nanostray haha. This Arranged OST probably muzzled my memories of the game thinking it was on something better than GBA, sound wise. Freaking love this one, listened to it a lot years ago.
