I dreamed I went to someone's birthday party. It was held in a suburb or cul-de-sac which was oddly arranged as a ring of houses around a soccer field. To keep everyone entertained during the party, I had brought my entire video game collection. The party was over and I had enlisted everyone's help to lay out my games on the soccer field, like an equipment inventory. I was going to load them back into my vehicle and take them home.
I left the soccer field momentarily to take care of something. When I came back, most of my games were missing. I freaked out and asked two people nearby to help me track down the games. We went into one of the houses and found someone had just taken whatever games they liked and put them on their shelf as though it was their property.
We recovered as many titles as I was able to recognize, then moved on to another party guest's house in the cul de sac. I went into this person's room and found they had a game collection of their own. There was a wide selection of Sega Genesis, PS Vita, Nintendo DS, Turbo Grafx-16 hu cards, and vintage PCs from back in the days when 3DFX voodoo cards were relevant. But it didn't appear this person had taken any of my games.
There were still a lot of games from my collection that weren't accounted for, so I asked my friends for input. They suggested checking a dumpster outside. I said we had better hurry so the trash truck doesn't show up and haul them to the landfill. The whole time I was thinking, "I guess that's what I get for trusting people with my stuff." Then I woke up, relieved that none of this actually happened.

anayoI admire that your dream was still somewhat believable and could actually happen. My dreams are incredibly random. For example. Last night I dreamed I was working as a clerk in a small office. I was working so much, that I had a cot in the office. While working a pretty girl came into the office, trying to sell naval oranges and Swiss chocolate. She started naming off purchase packages to buy. Because she was pretty and I was distracted with all my work, I just told her to put me down for the most popular package. She said thanks and left, then I went back to work. Then I went to sleep in the office. The next morning that same pretty girl and another pretty girl showed up at the office. They were now UPS drivers delivering all the boxes onto the office stoop. Then they wanted payment, because it was cash on delivery. How much I asked. $500 she said. Apparently I'd accidentally bought $500 of fresh naval oranges and Swiss chocolate bars. I was trying to figure out how I was going to explain this to my wife, because I knew she'd be super pissed at me for spending $500 on such frivolous things. As I was contemplating a way to get the UPS driver ladies to take all of the food back, my alarm went off. It is extraordinarily rare for me to dream about video games.

anayo I admire that your dream was still somewhat believable and could actually happen. Yeah they're real and believable until I dream that I'm a terminator reprogrammed by the human resistance forces, or that construction workers hired by the PRC buried my sister alive, or that my brother turned into a griffin. (Bear in mind I only post the video game-related ones here!) This reminds me of my friend who orders weird stuff on Amazon when he takes ambien to sleep at night.

Mine was super weird. I was moving through some sort of building I think was a school or something, but it ended up transitioning to some sort of lab. I was looking for something a scientist had lost, along with two others, when we saw it floating on some sort of multi-colored liquid in vat of some sort. It looked like something that belonged on a starship, honestly. The item was a plastic drinking straw? I guess. Anyway, the vat starts overflowing, and I run up some stairs to another room, but end up getting hemmed in. As the levels rose, I noted some double doors in the back of the room, and broke through them. The two people behind me didn't follow. It was an empty, sort of ringed hallway, but for some reason there was a big metal desk there and bookshelves, so I climbed all the way to the top. I thought I was going to die, but just as it was about to reach me, it started to recede, although a bit sort of blorped into the air and hit me, which I was sure was going to dissolve me. I was pretty sure that's what happened to the people with me, and felt a pang at their loss. All while this was happening, there was a sort of "bum bum bum bum" that you'd hear in like a creepy B-movie sci-fi show.
And then I woke up. Sooooooo strange.

Not a dream specifically, but I've been playing so much SRW that when I'm in that weird state where you're almost sleeping I catch myself thinking all kinds of nonsense about how I have to move these units to a certain spot cause they have the skills I need to fall asleep or whatever. It's like this stuff just keep going in my subconscious mind.

It is really funny how a lot of my dreams revolve around finding things in game stores or whatever. Last night (or this morning, it all runs together), I dreamed I was in a retro store and they had found a Super Mario RPG 2 cart. Cool! I was floored there was an actual SNES sequel, and in my dream state, it made sense. I bought it for around $50, but before leaving the store I realize, wait, this has a MicroSD cart sticking out of it. I ask the guy there, and he says, yeah, we use SuperEverdrive carts to do occasional repros. It's quite the bargain! Well, I also discovered (watching apparently some grainy VHS footage from back in the day) that this wasn't even a complete game, just an intro and some development assets. Boo.
At this point, I ask if I can return it right then for something else. They say, sure, although there will be a $5 fee to do so. Sounds a lot like my old days in pawn shops when I'd trade games. Anyway, I dig around and I find a Saturn copy of Magic Knight Rayearth, which apparently had three discs in my dream? Something felt off about that, but whatevs, I bring it up for the trade because it's only $85, which is an absolute steal compared to modern pricing on it.
Then I'm talking to my brother, apparently next to a bulldozer, about how the EverDrive thing was actually a really good deal if that's what you're looking for, but I'm glad I got MKR. And that was that.

Sarge your dream seemed entirely believable until the bulldozer part. What kind of mad lads hang around bulldozers and talk about video games?

I mean, Super Mario RPG 2 SNES would have had to come out in late '97, even if they went to work on it right after releasing the first. I know there were still a few SNES games being made then, including one super late Fire Emblem, but I can't imagine Square doing that with a high profile game. But that would have been great. I don't like the Mario & Luigi games nearly as much as I liked SMRPG, a sequel in the same style would have been amazing.

Ex : You'd be surprised in a place like my hometown (super rural). Besides, two of my uncles have had a bulldozer, so I've been around a few.

I was attempting to be facetious through the power of forum text, which utterly fails at facetiousness capability. As a consolation prize, I hope you dream about this tonight:
