Doggone it, I also forgot about the CAG16 code, which does actually stack with this. Adds an extra 16% off. Oh well. EDIT: Heck, might as well go for the gusto. Ordered Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Resident Evil 2, RE3, LotR: Vol. 1, and Victor Vran: Overkill Edition for just under $45. Hopefully the RE games will be in halfway decent shape. It's a gamble, as always. Victor Vran was to get me over the $35 threshold while not impacting the B1G1 on retro. Shipping would be $6 otherwise, so VV only adds $1.45 to the final tally.

Resident Evil 2 (PS1) is so good, I'd say it's worth $45 alone. I got $45 of fun out of it for sure.

Somebody over on Talking Time pointed out that pretty much the whole Fatal Fury series is 50% off on Switch. This includes the absolutely fantastic Garou: Mark of the Wolves, which would be $4.

Funny enough one of my friends has been going crazy with KOF98' lately. I've been meaning to get into this SNK stuff, it's always looked and sounded like more my jam compared to Street Fighter...

I think the KoF series is pretty solid, but there are things about the hit detection I don't necessarily like. I can't put my finger on it. However, Mark of the Wolves might be SNK's most Capcom-style entry in the series, and it feels like an absolute joy to play. Limited roster? Sure. But there's also a ton of depth, and it has some absolutely stellar animation. It's basically SNK's Third Strike on that front.

Looks like the Steam port is bad... is the Switch port better?

Looks like the Steam port is bad... is the Switch port better? Yeah, different folks porting it. Apparently the Steam version was done by DotEmu, whereas Hamster does the Switch ports. I tried it out and it seemed to play really well. I did some reading and folks said they're probably using a version of MAME as their emulator, which bodes well for emulation accuracy.

Thanks Ex. Actually I think now that you mention it I own an original Sega CD model 2 instruction manual. I'll have to dig through my things and find it.

Well, I was about to rip GameStop a new one, but I only half need to. Thought the Uniracers cart was busted. Nope. Turns out that when the SRAM gets corrupted, it can cause the game to not boot properly into the play modes. Wiping it fixed the issue.
Unfortunately, that copy of Victor Vran didn't get here, because they mixed it up with someone else's NBA2K20 order... whee.
