Have you ever done it one sitting? I've beaten Goldeneye on 00 Agent before (over the span of a week or so) but got hung up on the two bonus stages... I don't know but back in the day I did always like making a bunch of new profiles to replay games haha, though I think Goldeneye/Perfect Dark only had three save slots? I recall 00 Agent being harder than Perfect Agent personally. And PD's three bonus unlockable stages were more gimmicks than actual new levels like Goldeneye's.

I tend to move on once I can beat a game legit (sometimes if it's short I'll do a second run through it right after, though), so I don't know about mastering a game. With a little practice to refresh my memory, I can probably beat Comix Zone on one life, though. That's what I did last time (beat it once, then immediately replayed through it and beat it without dying, to prove to myself that it wasn't a fluke). I don't think it's possible to beat it without taking damage since you have to break a few things along the way, but beating it without once taking an enemy hit would be insane.
I'd like to try online multiplayer on something like Wild Guns, since the game really penalizes you for going solo (that seems to be a thing with Natsume/Taito games), but I don't know how bad the lag might be. It's worth a try.
