That is pretty cool. And apparently it has actuation after being built too.

Have you heard of Sega's "The Ocean Hunter" arcade game before? Yep.lol that shouldn't come as a surprise to me! I saw the subaquatic diving theme and thought, "This has Ex's name written all over it." The fact that it's a late 90's Sega light gun game is what appeals to me personally. I really should peruse Sega's arcade-only library sometime soon. There's just so many cool titles that never got ported.

I really should peruse Sega's arcade-only library sometime soon. There's just so many cool titles that never got ported. It's a shame that Ocean Hunter was never ported anywhere, it's a really fun one. I would say the same about Dolphin Blue, another aquatic themed action game that is woefully stranded as arcade only. But anyway, in general, I agree there are some stellar SEGA arcade games which were never ported, or if they were, had a less than ideal port due to home console restrictions at the time. MAME is your friend.

The caveat with some long running series...
Googles: "Action platformers like Tomb Raider..."
Uncharted. The Last of Us. Assassins Creed: Rogue. Bioshock Infinite. Horizon Zero Dawn. Assassins Creed: Origins. Darksiders 3. Assassins Creed: Odyssey.
WTF are some of these recommendations?
I'll just have to stick to a few recs some here mentioned recently when I beat Underworld. Maybe TR is more than a B-tier series for me or I'm just still in the mood for something like them. They kind of seem like comfort food, though I'm not taking back the deluge of bad things I said about Underworld... the 3/10 still stands.
Guess Sands of Time might be my best option. Maybe there's some other PS2 era titles I don't know about though. I feel like TR's combination of realistic characters, with a big emphasis platforming, and guns, is a little unique actually. Devs forget how fun just simply jumping around can be.

Uncharted and HZD are probably the two best fits. And I guess the Assassin's Creed games might fit to some degree, given they basically spawned out of the Prince of Persia franchise (and also basically killed it).

Guess Sands of Time might be my best option. I think you personally would like this one more: Of course this is a good solution:

That trilogy is probably my best option. Specifically I'm thinking of what might be more comparable to the 2nd TR era (Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld). That's the comfort food stuff. So yeah the PS2 Prince of Persia series aligns with those pretty well I bet. I think I will need to be more in the mood and "prepared" for TR2 when I want to play that one, since the originals are way more hardcore and intense haha.
