I'm honestly not sure what other things to say about the game right now, other than, no, the combat doesn't really ever get better, and yes, it feels more like a first-person adventure game otherwise. I dig the latter elements. And hey, Patrick Stewart! Here's the jerk final boss: She's actually not that hard, though; use the Whole Truth item on her before she transforms, and it will lock her in her witch state, and you can just pound on her until she croaks. I used Kieran, the "huline". His stats don't look special, but he goes really fast. Surprisingly, he ends up pretty powerful in most regards by the end; he has a solid magic pool, attack strength is decent, and of course you can use rogue-style items well. I suspect it took me around 20 hours to finish. A little on the high side, because I didn't use a guide or maps much other than when I felt stuck, and even then, those felt either really arcane (the Larkhon battle was still not sign-posted well) or something stupid I missed. If you really, really like FPDCs from this era, you'll probably get more mileage out of it than I did, but what I'd really like to have seen is something like this with Arcana's JRPG-style combat system. Final rating: 6.5. I think it was decent, sometimes good, but geeeeeez that combat really drags it down.

A little on the high side, because I didn't use a guide or maps much other than when I felt stuck From what I've been seeing with old DOS FPDCs on HLTB, the times reflect a tendency of players to use guides/walkthroughs right out the gate. It's the only thing that explains those short times. Anyway, congrats on beating LoL Sarge . - That was probably the final beat for this theme, so here are the results: @tsumuri beat Orcs & Elves on DS.
Sarge beat Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos on PC.
Ex beat Lightning Warrior Raidy II: Temple of Desire on PC.
