Yeah, he's got us all beat now, I suspect. I think I have 80-ish games on the system.

I don't have a current count, but I'm over 200 now after six months of collecting. It's mostly a FOMO* thing, so there's a method to my madness. Like I said gents, the PS4 is the final console I plan to collect for. Unless something dramatically interesting happens with the medium in the future (doubt it). I'll still buy the odd PC game, but that's digital so no space requirements to worry about there.
*Not so much worried about being unable to find a particular game, but rather having to pay too much for a particular game. A $30 PS4 game today may be a $200 PS4 game a few years from now. So I want to get this stuff while it's still reasonably priced.

Hol' up, you have 200 PS4 games?! That's amazing. I think I've only crossed the 200 mark with Atari 2600, NES, and SNES. I think I'm a Nintendo man from here on out (hardware-wise). I got the Wii U and Switch, but no Sony or Microsoft home systems since the 7th gen. I'd be willing to get another dedicated handheld someday, but that scene looks dead.

Hol' up, you have 200 PS4 games?! I go full retard every time I start collecting for a new platform. With the PS4 it's easy to rack up hundreds of interesting games because its library is so immense. Although a fair many of my purchases have been pervy weeaboo stuff that most would have no interest in. Just like my Vita collection. The most recent hardware I've bought via Nintendo is 3DS and Wii U. Personally I have zero interest in the Switch. I won't knock anyone who still loves Nintendo and enjoys the Switch, fair enough. For me it was a very disappointing offering and its library lacks enough exclusivity to ignite my interest. The dedicated handheld scene peaked and ended with the Vita. The Steam Deck does look interesting as a portable PC. Primarily for the purpose of PS2 emulation. Having a portable PS2 would be rad city.

I got the Switch because:
- I think Nintendo has the best first party library. I need my Mario, Zelda, Kirby, etc. - Most everything I'm into (besides the aforementioned first party titles) is multiplat these days, and the Switch allows me to play everything in handheld mode

Yeah, that's a huge part of why the Switch has appeal. Even if the specs are long in the tooth, although we know the new one is right around the corner. (Just don't say Switch Pro, please.)
I'm clearly on board with the Steam Deck, and yeah, much of my attraction is going to be emulation. Although I am thinking it might struggle with a couple of PS2 games. I'm hoping not, though - ideally it will be able to handle the entire library at full speed at native resolution. I don't even need anything fancy in that sense.

Guess I've got enough Mario, Zelda, and Kirby. 🤷♂️
