I gotta get back on the wagon for this month. We'll see if I can track down something to gun for over the weekend. I'm probably going to go the "uber classic" route as opposed to "ultra tough", though.

I recommend playing a lauded classic that is outside your typical genre preferences. Howabout a really good flight sim or horror game?

For some reason, I thought I had Unsung War, but nope. I've got Shattered Skies and Assault Horizon, though.
I do own the Resident Evil remake, though. Might try to get back into RE4, though, if I go that route.

I still feel amazing for just beating Gradius V this month.

SargeShattered Skies is pretty good, I enjoyed it. But it's nowhere near as good as Unsung War. I've beaten the 3DS and 360 versions of Assault Horizon, and both are different from one another. The 3DS version is solid, the 360 version is misguided.

I was curious how the Gamecube version of RE4 looked compared to the Wii one (which seems awfully soft), but darn if I can't find my Gamecube copy! I'm starting to wonder if I gave it away and just forgot. Either that, or I had it out for other reasons and completely misplaced it...

Well, even if I didn't finish anything else, I beat The 7th Saga, so I feel I can proclaim this month a victory.

I beat The 7th Saga, so I feel I can proclaim this month a victory. As someone who has also enjoyed and suffered that experience; it is indeed a great victory that you've completed it.

I'll actually be taking down Dracula tonight, so that means I'll be completing Symphony of the Night in time for the month. I probably would've completed it earlier in the week, but once I fell in love with this game, I decided to savor it. It really deserves as much. Will have a more in-depth write-up on it later in the week.
Gotta say this month was a huge success given that I discovered a new personal favorite. Was really not expecting that after Circle of the Moon was such a disappointment, but I did like that one overall - just very lukewarm on it. And I can't forget Bionic Commando, another game a loved and a definite NES classic.
This month has me excited to take on the rest of the Igavania games and the Bionic Commando sequels.
