Ooh, that's another game I've got a ton of time into that I should consider finishing up. I mean, I've done it for a bunch of other stuff lately!

Though to be honest, even if the options were all available again, I don't think I personally would go back to pillaging small stores for rare media. The rosy nostalgia of doing so when I was much younger, when I had a lot more free time, and was a more sociable person than I am now, does however remain. That is the sobering truth. The places near me was a Hollywood Video, Babbages, and KB Toys. Surprising, in hindsight, it was KB that had the deals. I got all my Mega Mans for ~$10-$20 each there. Ebay/Amazon/Netflix, of course, killed it all. Also Sarge nice avatar!

paulofthewest: Thanks! I'm definitely a Transformers fan from all those years ago, and I still walk down the toy aisles to check them out from time to time.

Whoever made this "Every Mega Man game ever made" list will have to get a TierMaker ultra failing E grade. Yeah. Despite including Network Transmission, they still forgot this one too: Understandable, as I'm apparently the only person in the USA who has beaten that game. When I was in middle and high school, I got many a great deal on PC games from Babbages. They didn't often have deals on console games, but for some reason PC games were often heavily discounted. I raided their bargain bins many times.

We had one in the mall about an hour away, and I always enjoyed visiting it. Of course, it eventually became GameStop, just as EBGames did. I got some good stuff at both. I remember the EBGames in Jackson, MS, netting me a copy of Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II complete for all of $2!

Considering there's over 50 games in the Mega Man franchise, I guess it's forgivable. Also I just realized that Mega Man Legends 2 is 20 years old now. Man, it doesn't seem like it was twenty years since I was playing MML2 via VGS back in '00. Though if I recall all the things that have happened in that time, it starts to feel two decades past.

While I know I bought a lot from them (especially Dreamcast), I got the Ultima IX dragon edition (IE: the-everything-edition) for $15.
While I found the Ultima games fun but a little too rough around the edges, I always enjoyed all the goodies in the box: maps, cards, tokens, etc... VIII had some fun stuff as well
Sarge wow Star tropics II for $2, nice!

Good tier list, although I had to stare hard at some of these to tell what they were. I've played the MSX game, but not enough to really rate it well. I've barely played Haunted Castle, but I've played it long enough to know it's trash. I'm conflicted on Castlevania: The Adventure, but ultimately put it in the "F" category because... well, the game just ticked me off. Some good ideas, some terrible execution.
