Instrumentation is a bit off-key, though; that's one of the bugs left in SSF and Camelot games. Unless it's been updated recently and I'm unaware of it. Since 2016, I've been reading people say that to emulate Shining Force III's music correctly, you're better off using Yabause instead of SSF. Yabause lists Shining Force III under its full compatibility chart. This is only an anecdotal reference though. I haven't tried it myself.

Oh, cool, I will give that a shot next time. Until the final release comes out, I've been testing occasionally in SSF instead, so if it performs well in Yabause, I'll roll that way instead.

That screenshot is from Shining the Holy Ark, though. I never noticed there was anything wrong with SF3's sound in SSF, it just sounded like every other Sakuraba soundtrack to me.
