Maybe I missed something, but Galaxy came across as a boring version of Super Mario 64.
Okay, I watch a review; I didn't care of the cinematics and the short levels. Also, a couple of times I got nauseated from running around small worlds. It just didn't sit well.
It seems those who have played recommend Batman: Arkham Asylum, which I've been eyeing.
It is interesting most didn't like Wind Waker. Is it the cell shading? If it is the plot, I get it, but I never tried to connect any of the Zeldas together.
I wouldn't call Ocarina of Time bad or even okay. I do think it has received way too much attention which has been detrimental.
Also, I've played previous Call of Duty's, but not 4. Is 4 really that much better? They all seemed *extremely* similar.

I liked it even more playing it a second time on the new collection (with the Pro Switch controller).
Wind Waker's cel shading, plot, and combat is very good. Everything else is average at best to me. Boring overworld that's 80% empty water space, generic easy dungeons.
First 3D Zelda, I think the marketing and hype was deserving. I get that some think OoT is like a retread of LTTP, but I still love it and think it's one of the best 3D Zelda's.
I didn't care for any CoD's before 4, but I was a fan of Medal of Honor so I kind of knew what to expect. CoD4 kind of dethroned Halo in the console-online gaming space at the time and was just an excellently refined game. Solid campaign, great balanced multiplayer. It was downhill after that, but I still like some of the campaigns (Advanced Warfare).
I still played a lot of Modern Warfare 2. But for instance, CoD4 had 3 "Killstreaks" you could earn during an online game from doing good. A UAV, a bombing run, then call in a helicopter. MW2 had 15, FIFTEEN killstreaks. So I just thought the games got too chaotic/unbalanced from then on, then the whole era of micro-transactions hit, along with CoD being an annually released game every year... I fell off hard and haven't cared again since. But yeah, won't change how much I loved CoD4. I don't know if it would have the same effect for someone going back to it now though.
Some people loved the Black Ops trilogy, but I tried all of them and thought they were terrible. lol, different developers and they just didn't jive with me.
But yeah, for better and worse, CoD4 put that series on the map for Activision to print infinite money all these years later.

I've played previous Call of Duty's, but not 4. Is 4 really that much better? They all seemed *extremely* similar. I have beaten: Call of Duty PC (2003) Call of Duty 2 PC (2005) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Xbox 360 (2007) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Nintendo DS (2007) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 (2009) Call of Duty: Black Ops Xbox 360 (2010) These games are similar, though the original CoD is the hardest by far. Like WAY harder than all its sequels. That said CoD4 is easily the best of the bunch. It's just so well designed, well paced, cinematic in smart ways, lots of variety, it's just a top notch console FPS. Well worth playing.

Wow, there different CoD4 Modern Warfares. Any in particular are the best? Otherwise I'll try the first.

I recommend going with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered on PS4 or Windows.

I could definitely see the topsy-turvy nature of Galaxy being a problem for some folks. I had a blast with it, but there are also games that garner critical acclaim that I don't care for, either. Did you ever try out Descent on PC, and did that give you motion sickness? I know quite a few folks that couldn't handle that game.

Alright, first Modern Warfare it is.
Descent did NOT cause motion sickness. I haven't completely pinned down the cause, but I believe it is space motion sickness where there is a significant contrast of large/medium bodies and small bodies *both* moving (like Mario & the planet.) Descent is mostly tight/small so it isn't a problem. BTW, @ sea I'm a mess, luckily Dramamine works.
I just now thought of taking Dramamine before playing, but that seems wrong...

I just now thought of taking Dramamine before playing, but that seems wrong... I remember a friend of mine's wife got sick while watching Mario Galaxy back when it originally debuted. She could not tolerate watching the game. Granted he had a 100" screen going on (projector), but still you're not alone there.
