You can find Yiazmat at Ridorana Cataract in the Coliseum. RECOMMENDATIONS: I would recommend all your Characters be AT LEAST above Level 70, but optimally should be higher. Your Levels simply cannot be, “TOO HIGH,” for this fight, even if Level 99.
Heh, well I'll definitely challenge him and give it a shot. I think I've generally 100%'d most mainline FF's actually. I'm not sure on FF13 but I did play a lot of post end game content in that one surprisingly. Not much in FF10, despite the battle system being incredible in that, I think due to the game being so linear and kind of easy outside some of the Seymour fights, I never really got the completionist or power leveling bug in that one. It doesn't help that I think a lot of the extra content is behind that monster arena, which I'm usually not a big fan of.
FF12 does have the right balance for me between cool dungeons, exploration, towns, lots of mechanics, stats/equipment to raise... so YES, YES I WANT MORE POWER!!!

From what I've read, beating Yiazmat takes between 4-8 hours, even at very high levels with optimal builds/gear. It's just straight insanity.

There's YT videos of people doing it around 30 minutes with what sounds like some trick/cheese setups. I'll give him a fair first shot maybe and see how it goes from there...
That is madness though. I'm not sure I've ever done a locked in gauntlet in gaming that long. I always think back to Devil May Cry 4's Blood Palace, which has 9,999 floors. You can eventually start skipping through them by 100, but still. The PRO videos online are about 90 minutes long, so I'm sure it took me more like 2-4 at my skill level. And my hands/wrists were dead, since it's just nonstop DMC action for hours.

Xeogred: The low end of that is probably my longest gaming session without a break. I've fought some long boss battles before (I'm pretty sure the back-to-back fight with Giacomo and his goons in Baten Kaitos too me like an hour or hour and a half), but nothing even close to this.

I saw two abilities mentioned and so I'm guessing there's maybe some game breaking Gambit's you can setup. I'm not looking into it though, don't want to ruin my innocent playthrough doing it all my way! Minus some of these wack side quests (the one that broke me to finally look things up was how to get back into Barheim Passage, which as mentioned is where one key falls into a hole in one random dungeon and randomly appears in the beach town, lol).

So what is everyone playing (or planning on playing) this weekend?
On my docket:
- Finish Boktai - Fiddle around with the Dreamcast on a CRT VGA monitor - Get out the N64 to actually get something rolling for the other side of October's Club Retro

I have never heard of this game before.
