Yeah, I suspect there's some older PC, PS1, and PS2 games mostly that I'm still interested in and could exceed 30 hour run times. But it is almost reassuring realizing I've beaten a lot of old longer stuff myself, because the huge modern games aren't slowing down as some of us know. Last year it's still insane to me that I put a combined like 350 some hours into Elden Ring and Xenoblade 3. Two games. Amazing and probably gross.
I weirdly like playing games early in the morning, like the old days of being a kid, but it's kind of rare that it happens before lunch or whatever. I'm most energized in the mornings so I'm typically doing chores/adult stuff on the weekends in those time frames. Yet some genres like my beloved survival horror, feel best at night. It's kind of rare I play games at night though. I think living in apartments and being a schmuck/good neighbor not blasting stuff at night has probably made me game less at night over the years. After dinner is kind of my internet, YouTube, etc lounging time... not very productive. lol
It's been a month since I started "Operation Read a Chapter of a Book a Night" though and so far it's still a success. Now reading is super easy and ideal to get in at night. That's kind of half the reason I came up with this idea, something to focus on and calm my mind late into the evening.

It's been a month since I started "Operation Read a Chapter of a Book a Night" though and so far it's still a success. And I give you big kudos on that, very smart life decision. I'd like to implement that myself, as in an hour of reading a day (though not at night), as I've got loads of books I want to read. I do wonder what you'll get into once you run out of Star Wars and Dune books. Well, there is this: www.amazon.com/dp/B075VG89Z9?binding=paperback&ref=dbs_m_mng_rwt_sft_tpbk_tkin

Yoooo, thanks for the reminder, I've actually heard the RE books are quite good. (contrast to these CGI movies I'm going through now to catch up for Death Island, I just wanna see all the OG characters team up haha).
I think there is seriously around 30-40 some Star Wars books I'd like to read. But yeah, it already feels crazy that I'm halfway through my fourth book so far, fifth counting Dune from early March. This baby step method is already adding up fast and I'm going to need a lot of books now if I keep at it, lol. A few years ago I had the idea to try and read "one book a month" or something more rigid like that and I didn't make it the whole year. The method didn't seem to work. So now I'm just having fun not worrying about some stressful timelines, it's just one chapter a day (or more if I'm feeling it), and then I'll count the tally at the end of the year.

Looking back on my play history, Thief was ALMOST a 30 hour game for me. It looks like I was 3 hours and 30 minutes shy of that figure, but somehow I feel like it should still count. Like how Pluto still seems like a planet to me even though the scientific community doesn't acknowledge it as such.

Seems my inclination was correct, none of us are beating 30+ hour games very often. Xeogred seems the most often at doing so... I might be in second place. I still enjoy beating long games (insofar as they are worth playing) but it does take me a while to do so, given real life time eating stuff. Anyway doesn't look like too many HRG-ers are much into big RPGs these days. Fair enough.

So the solution is simple...
I need to see more King's Field playthroughs getting done here. You all have your homework.
I HAVE SPOKEN!
