If real hardware's too expensive I'll just emulate. I've resigned myself to just playing PC Engine CD on my home-brew enabled Wii with Mednafen. That's a great way to play, by the way. Mednafen there is a bit more user-friendly, and it also supports legit 240p output if you want to hook up to a CRT.

An added bonus is that Wii remotes are basically wireless PC Engine controllers.

The controllers are cheaper, too! Man, everything on that system is expensive.

Freaking $50 for a used TG16 controller; $25 for a broken one. And what sucks most of all is that controllers from Japan (where PCE sold like hotcakes and is plentiful today) are region locked. I ended up with a PCE controller when a Japanese eBayer accidentally sent it to me in an order of Sega Saturn stuff, but I can't use it because the pins are so much smaller than my American TG16. >

Did anyone hear about the MIST FPGA Comptuer? www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVq_jzj_u8UIt's basically an FPGA box that you can load different cores on to emulate different computers or game consoles.

Interesting, definitely looks the part. If it can actually play real Genesis/Mega Drive carts, the rumored $80 price point sounds quite reasonable.

Yeah, I'd be willing to give one a go at that price point. Hopefully it will be a solid hardware clone. I'd very much consider one for use with my EverDrive.

I actually have a Nomad. It's pretty huge - if a robber breaks into my home, I might just reach for it - but the screen's pretty tiny. A smaller redesign with a larger screen would be cool.
