Well, I gave in and pre-ordered the upcoming TurboGrafx-16 Mini. The way I see it, it's the absolute cheapest way to have "legit" versions of most of those games. Many you can't even buy digitally anymore, and this also includes stuff like Sapphire and both Spriggan games. Sadly missing is Legendary Axe, but I think that's a rights issue. I also suspect this will be hacked, and wouldn't be surprised if it ends up using the same innards as the SNES/NES/Genesis Mini. I was tempted to get one, but own a TG-16 and an Everdrive, so I couldn't justify it. Please let us know what you think once you get your hands on it, though!

Well, I own a Duo and an EverDrive, too, but part of this was just me wanting to be a little more "legit" with my library. PC Engine games, both in CD and HuCard form, are prohibitively expensive in most cases. It also helps that I just redeemed $30 worth of Amazon credit through Bing Rewards, so that lessened the blow.

Feeling pretty good about having ordered the TG-16 Mini, since it appears to be sold out on Amazon. Makes me wonder if they're going to do another run or if this is all there will be.

Yeah if nothing else, this virus is exposing just how integral China really is to the global market. Too many eggs in one basket.

Hopefully there will be some decoupling going on after all this. I think it's becoming clear that we can't depend on them as a sole source anymore.

I have my doubts an N64 mini is going to happen, but who knows? I've been wrong before.
Speaking of other mini systems, though, I just got an updated shipping date on my delayed TG-16 Mini. I should get it by May 26th. Woo! Happy to be able to give it a go. And I'm sure I'm repeating myself, but it's really hard to beat the value on this one, considering how expensive most PC Engine/Duo games are.

...just teasin' ya. I do hope you enjoy the system when you get your mitts on it.
