Nice! I'm noticing less overlap, so I'll be asking for opinions on stuff when I get the itch to play stuff.
I'll try to update with ratings later.

Well I had no idea toei used to be such an RPG hound, he hardly plays them nowadays that I've noticed. When I have enough free time, I'll mash all these lists into cohesive posts for posterity. Sarge I thought I remembered you also beating The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on PSP?

I have it there, but actually beat it on PC. I still haven't gotten back to SC, actually.

From probably 2003 until 2011, RPGs were literally all I played. I started playing a few action games again in 2011 and got into some other hobbies, but I was still mostly playing RPGs up until maybe 3 years ago. There aren't really a ton left in English that I still want to play, and I don't have as much time anymore. As a whole I feel like RPGs started to get really bloated and the writing started to get a lot worse around the PS2 era, and I'm only interested in a few starting from that generation. Earlier RPGs often had more of a sense of adventure, where what happened from town-to-town and moment-to-moment was more important than the main plot, which was mostly just an excuse to get you on the road. This basically disappeared from the genre around that time (except for Dragon Quest, mostly), and all if left was the main plot, which was always the weakest part. I'd still like to take some time to go and clear the 15-20 RPGs I still really want to play at some point, but there's a few things I'll need to take care of first, so it probably won't be this year.

I'm too lazy to craft more lists. I will say, my 16-bit completion is similar to that of Sarge and toei though they have each beaten more fan-translated games than I have, and I've beaten more non-translated Japan-only titles. I've probably finished the most Famicom titles (as well as FDS) though that's no accomplishment given the quality of some of those! As far as the PC goes, I've finished most of the classics of the olde WRPG pantheon: Ultima (0-9), Wizardry(1-3, 5), Might and Magic (1-3), and well as several D&D entries. A handful of other WRPGs too, as well as those oddball Japanese games toei mentioned. I'm way behind on 5th+ gen. Never had a PSX as a kid, and didn't get a PS2 until 2010 or so. So, yeah...

Alright, I updated with gut-reaction ratings on the rest of my lists. Hope it helps someone. I have some odd tastes at times.
