Haven't heard of either of those before.
These were 2010 and 2012 releases. Heralded during their development due to being directed by Warren Spector. He is a well regarded producer having been associated with famous western studios such as Origin, Looking Glass, and Ion Storm. (Spector's Ion Storm was a different branch/studio than Romero's.)
Warren created Junction Point Studios back in 2005, and it closed in 2013. During those eight years, the studio managed to produce two games, both starring Mickey Mouse. These two games were bankrolled by Disney. The first Epic Mickey sold well. The second game however bombed hard. The end result was Junction Point Studios closed, and Spector went into teaching at a university.

Yeah, for some reason when I was eating out with friends last night, one TV had that Mickey cartoon on. The 3D looked awful. Barf.

Nobody cuts a trailer like Kojima. 10/10 I'm really hoping my computer can run Death Stranding. The only hold up is my hard drive, which is partitioned at 128GB for my PC stuff. That's not enough to handle RDR2.

Thoughts: It’s easier to see how far graphics have come when new technology is used to depict a scene from an iconic game that’s so familiar to me. If you were to show me the same game engine with a new, unfamiliar world I probably wouldn’t be so stunned. It’s unsettling the higher graphical fidelity highlights shortcomings elsewhere in the artwork. For instance I can tell this was either animated in a hurry or by someone whose main skill is not animation (ie. “programmer artwork”). The acceleration/deceleration of Navi’s flightpath is noticably jerky. Saria’s poses look awkward. The funny thing is I remember PS1/PS2 era games with 3D animation that wouldn’t pass by today’s standards but seemed fine at the time. And this I'm not even talking about some technology that didn't exist yet, like normal maps or realtime raytracing. This is just the motion curves of the objects in 3D space. Certain textures appear to be either asset flipped or not gracefully harmonized with the overall art direction. I suspect modern 3D artists have more sophisticated tools and resources, enabling them to whip up comparatively higher quality assets with less expenditure than a 90’s computer artist. But N64 game assets would have garnered less scrutiny, giving them more leeway to “fudge” certain details. I think there was definitely more a mindset of "eh it's good enough" back then. It’s amazing to me ertain sound effects like Link’s voice or the sound of him unsheathing his sword remain untouched. Those parts still hold up to modern standards apparently.

XeogredA Chinese game development company decided to make a Demon's Souls knock off. They named it Vicious Gambling Agreement. Yes, that's the actual name. I still can't decide if that name is retarded or amazing. Here's the gameplay: And the Steam page: store.steampowered.com/app/1154480/Vicious_Gambling_Agreement/I can tell by that video, it's definitely not up to Demon's Souls level of excellence. But then again, what 3D action adventure is?
NONE.

The hit detection is laughable. Current affairs might have some to do with this, but I'm -extremely- sketchy about Chinese gaming in general. Sure they've got money to throw into some of these and they look "pretty" sometimes, but eh. There's definitely a lot of lame looking hidden clones out there. I saw one earlier this year but can't remember the name, because I think it was stupid like that one. But I just stumbled on this one randomly: store.steampowered.com/app/691280/SINNER_Sacrifice_for_Redemption/Oh... just found it, "Bloody Spell". store.steampowered.com/app/992300/_Bloody_Spell/Trust me, the trailers over sell it. The stream I watched wasn't that impressive, other than the guy playing made a hot chick basically running around naked.
