That would be a good guess. It has indeed been over six years since Odyssey. It's time.

"Nintendo will release a successor to the Nintendo Switch game console in March 2025. Like the Switch, it is expected to be a game console that has the features of both a stationary and portable version. Many in the industry predicted that it would be released in 2024, but we prioritized taking measures to prevent resale and securing an initial stock of successor machines and an assortment of popular software from the time of release. The successor model will have a larger screen than the Switch (6.2 inches for the standard model), and will be able to play games that feature higher-definition image quality." www.nikkei.com/article/DGXZQOUF196OV0Z10C24A2000000/If the Switch 2 does release in March 2025, that will be about 2 years after my predictions: Will be fun to see how many of those come true.

500 PS4 era remasters/ports ready for the Switch 2.
But yeah like we were saying about the PS5's trajectory, I agree with your last prediction there and this won't be another DS/Switch like platform for Nintendo numbers wise. Just the nature of how things go and if they RIGHTFULLY make this thing backward compatible, they need to double down on software. Would be nice to get more than one mainline Mario per generation next time. I'm still flabbergasted Odyssey is all we got for the Switch.
With the hybrid model though... could still be interesting to see how the sales go. I'm sure it'll still be huge, but yeah. Can't expect another Switch breaking records. For now, all they need to do is make sure to not call it the "Switch U"...
I just can't wait to see what Monolith-Soft is cooking up. They've been pushing Nintendo hardware to the brink... finally they get some extra juice they could probably use now.

500 PS4 era remasters/ports ready for the Switch 2. I think we can expect a large amount of 8th gen ports to the Switch 2, yes. And plenty of "remasters". One reason I don't think the Switch 2 will sell as well as the Switch, is it won't be (hopefully not) released during a "pandemic" where everyone is locked down at home needing electronic entertainment devices. That incident was a boon for Nintendo. >I'm still flabbergasted Odyssey is all we got for the Switch Well we did get Wonder which is an excellent Mario entry. It's just not free roaming 3D. I'm sure the next 3D Mario will be crazy impressive, they've surely been working on it for many years now. I'm guessing it'll be true open world on a huge scale.

Speculation at this point, but speculation is fun.
